Here's another beast, and my first attempt at painting one of my sculptures. I also tried to put more details than I usually do, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

I can't read one report on air strikes without thinking there are people whose job is creating these weapons and they make six figures or more doing it and their family will live a comfortable life on that money. It will never leave my mind that this is an industry

A ceo is one guy who can be fired. If the company's workforce were to abandon operations, on the other hand...that's not an easily resolvable situation. Not that the workforce would quit when they already decided the money was more important, but hypothetically, it's actually fair to say they hold some responsibility, no? Literally no one is forcing you to work for a defense contractor, it was just your most financially beneficial option.

There's a lot of evil shit Americans do or support because misinformation and nationalist rhetoric is constant such that most end up not knowing any better. I tend to believe in the good of people in general and emphasize education of the misguided.

I don't think this is one of those instances. I think if you make missiles for a living, you know what missiles are for and if you didn't look into how they're being used that's just straight up evil.

I like how in Mario Sunshine Mario gets arrested despite having an alibi corroborated by upwards of six different people (his being on a fucking plane/out of the country for nearly every crime he was being tried for), tried but not permitted a defense lawyer or any testimony to be given in his favor, and convicted based solely on crude eye witness testimony which didn’t even match his description (the illustration is literally blue, just like the actual Shadow Mario).  Then within minutes of his sentencing, the actual perpetrator strikes again in broad daylight in front of even more witnesses, and attempts to kidnap someone, only to be stopped by Mario, but Mario is nonetheless still held responsible and held to the task of carrying out his sentence?

The problem w writing fiction is that you'll be like tee-hee I'm going to write a story about a fucked up little scenario that's got nothing to do with anything in real life, just some pure messed up nonsense, and then you finish it and take a step back and go aw rats I made a metaphor again
