Kara and Lena are not like Superman and Lex.

Remember when they said that? *crosses arms* I'm waiting to see proof of this. Because this episode was the least creative trash episode to date. I kept thinking they were going to do something clever... But nope. Same old shit different episode.

Cancel Batwoman, they failed. It's terrible. Ruby Rose has more chemistry with a dumpster than her love interest... Just make Lena and Kara the lesbian power couple of the DCTVU and be done with it. They have the chemistry, they have the foundation. You dont even have tor try. Because when your try, CW, you CAN NOT write love lesbian interests worth a shit. (Poor Alex, deserves better too)

Kara stayed in that crystal with kryptonite because she knows she very well deserves to be there. It sounds harsh but its reality. Kara's crimes against Lena arent that she lied... or that she didnt tell Lena about her being Supergirl. Her crime is all the manipulation she had to put lena through to keep that secret. And she kept if for a selfish reason. Even Kara knows that. Kara isnt as perfect and pure hearted as people want to pretend. And honestly, that's a good thing. Kara 100% let fear control her actions, and she didnt trust that Lena would stick by her when she told her. You may say, well kara was right Lena didnt stay by her side when she found out! No...see that's the key. 'Found out'. Lena was right, she literally spelled it out to Kara, and Kara still couldnt get past her fear. Bottomline is Kara didnt trust lena to not leave her. THATS the betrayal... not some dumb secret identity. I see people saying Lena isnt entitled to Kara's secret. You're right she isnt... but that's not the betrayal at all, is it? Because Kara was so crushed by her fear, and by her distrust that Lena would still be her friend if she would just be honest.... Lena KILLED someone. She made the choice to do this under FALSE information, that she was protecting KARA. Not only that Lena put herself in danger thinking she was saving Kara.... AND KARA WENT ON LETTING HER knowing that if Kara was just a little too slow, Lena would DIE. FOR NO REASON. Saving her lying ass. Kara's secret identity is owed to Lena in one sense: Her life 100% depended on KNOWING. How many times could Lena have died, just because Kara was too scared to just tell her? Anyways... Lena, is wrong as well. However, she is being pretty tame if you ask me. Her response to this all, is to make Kara feel the same way she does, and to ... make everyone nice? Not sure that's exactly evil... it's more like misguided heroism... and Lena knows she is wrong as well. She all but admitted it to her AI. She knows she is doing the wrong thing. She knows turning everyone nice by force is self serving...she knows its cruel what she is doing to Kara, but THATS THE POINT. Lena is at a point where she feels nothing but pure pain. She doesnt hate anyone... it didnt make her hate... she just wants understanding still after all this. That's where that normal feeling of "I want you to see how it feels!" Actually comes from. To show her the weight of what she did. If you notice, Kara and Lena are paralleled with Jon and his brother the whole episode. Kara and Lena have no trust and no understanding of why they did what they did to each other.... same with Jon and his brother. Kara and Lena have no true malice in their hearts for one another... but because trust is broken there are now doubts. That's the same with Jon and his brother. Jon and his brother were able to mind meld and prove their true intentions. But Kara and Lena couldnt... and so Kara takes her punishment willingly, as Jon was also prepared to do with his brother. Not to make it sound childish... but both Kara and Jon 'started it'. They both acted in fear and devastated the person they loved, and they got what they deserved. The only difference is that Lena and Kara were unable to mend any sort of trust... So until Lena actually goes out to purposefully mess up the world, she isnt a villain. Not anymore than supergirl is. They are both just deeply hurt women.

Supergirl does not fit with the rest of arrowverse.

In flash, a row, and legends you have people manufacturing ways to give humans powers. Tech, scientific explosions, radiation, magic, on purpose, by accident....

Yet in supergirl it's some sort of Nazi venture...

*rolls eyes*

In arrow, flash, and LOT the heros protect both humans/metas and aliens from violence and evil... but in supergirl... that's a Nazi venture...

*rolls eyes until they fall out of my head*

Supergirl is plot driven and the characters serve it... Lena Luthor doesnt even make any sense... she wants James to virtue signal on live TV but is in her basement creating a way to make.meta humans...??? Fucking make up your mind writers!

If lena goes bad or they fail at writing her political views consistantly, I will stop watching live and not give this show ratings.

This season is making me nervous. They used to just take pot shots by sticking in "make America great again" in there.... but now they are legit trying to represent the alt right and antifa.... they are getting into real world things and not being subtle at all.

If they dont make sure they are balanced this show will be over.

So far it's kinda balanced, with a left lean....

But they need to make sure they show that the people who are pissed about alien immigrants are valid, and sane, and have good reasons to be pissed as hell.

They did well with the president stepping down... but Jonn going full SJW has made me hate him every second he is on screen....

The only balance they have is Lena Luthor. And if they fuck that up... the whole show crumbles into a giant mass of shit.

Lena has stood up for the right to bare arms, has stood up for America historically being human, and it looks like she is going to use her tech to make sure humans are on equal power level as their alien counterparts, all while still supporting fairness with the new alien citizens and condemning violence against them. They have consistently shown Lena to have conservative values and be consistent while still doing the right thing.

Having Supergirl take a civic nationalist sort of view is a good balance as well, but I fear they will destroy that by showing SJW-Jonn to be 'right all along', like in 4x01.... treating supergirl like she is a naive child instead of a grown woman with a good point.

I also fear that they will have James be with this transgendered woman, especially after what happen in the episode tonight... this show has never been good with writing romance... let's just say that...

I'm glad s3 is over.

During the second half lena was basically an on screen test alert and synthetic kryptonite making machine.

"Sam your tests...."

"I make this in the lab..."

X.x

Can she have more story line now that the show isn't trying to be two shows at once?

Lastly... since supergirl hasn't been about supergirl... in season four, we get two of them.

(Can we kill off superman so we dont have to keep hearing about him just to avoid plot holes?)

So supergirl is totally doing Egyption mythology this season. Everyone's roles follow exactly this line: Supergirl/kara (Osiris), Alex (Aset/Isis), Reign/Sam (Set)

So I am wondering who is going to play the role of Horus... we are at the point in the story where Set kills osiris and Aset is trying to bring him back to life.

So i wonder if it will be Ruby or Lena that ends up being instrumental in saving Kara/defeating Reign... as Ruby is a literal child(unique one, half human half kryptonian)... but Lena is the mutual of kara and alex, kara and Sam...... so she is symbolically horus....where Ruby is the literal Horus...

They tried to lead on the audience that this was christianity based by labeling the first sign as being 'the mark of the beast'... but then gave hints to it actually being egyptian or sumarian. Especially the line "You are no god, as I am no devil." -clarifying this is no christian sinario.

Regin is like this primal form of justice, while Kara is a modern more ordered justice. This was a very prevalent idea in ancient times.

Idk what do you all think? If i am right, is the role of Horus going to be met by Ruby or by Lena?

There better be some crazy plot reason lena doesnt know supergirls identity. Lena better be part of checkmate, lena better be there to keep an eye on supergirl but be purposefully kept in the dark about her identity for some reason. Or there better be some cadmas interference to keep her from knowing. Like forget the plot point being that she does not know, now the epic plot point must be WHY she doesn’t know.
