I'm so sorry for all my american followers with how this news is going. I beg you to take time for yourself and make plans if you need them. I'm on the outside of this as a non-american but as a queer woman I feel like this is a dire point to make. This isn't how I expected it to go and I'm sure a lot of you didn't.
Julius Caesar was a roman emperor within a patriarchal society but that's not how it should be. Women, people of colour, transgender people, queer people, immigrants - everyone - should have equal rights and the right to feel safe within their own country.
While this is devastating news theres a way forward, this isn't the end of the world even if it does feel like it. Please stay strong and reach out to people if you are struggling right now.
