nice try sm 💀 but I didn't see anything about legal action or an apology, not to mention the piss poor job you always do of promoting solos.

im not folding. I haven't forgotten the shit that happened even though you're trying so hard to make me.

keep boycotting.

also the English translation pissed me tf off.

as someone who's watching from the outside i'm glad he'll still have the chance to follow his dream of being an idol, i just kind of wish it would be under a different agency bc it really feels like sm is taking advantage of the situation. they know this whole mess brought a lot of attention even from people outside the fandom (like . here i am talking about it lmao) and that A LOT of people got mad at them and defended him. so despite doing what those nasty ot6 fans wanted all along, they'll still be able to use seunghan to get more money bc they know that he still has a strong fanbase AND a lot of people will probably tune in for his solo debut just because of this controversy, bc they'll wanna support him etc. it's really messed up and i hope he's actually doing alright.

You hit the nail in the head, Calli. He's a scapegoat and a moneymaker all at once.

It's such a messy situation with so many different perspectives. It also feels incredibly haphazard, considering just one month ago he was announced to return to the group. Seunghan now has about another year to hustle and get his concept in order, as well as his mental health in check before he has to face the masses again.

Overall, it's a nasty move on SM's part. Re-debuting means admitting that Seunghan is a good idol and an asset to their company. He's good enough to go solo at only 21. If he really is that excellent, then he should've just stayed in RIIZE and had the company properly deal with the bullies, the funeral wreaths, the online harassment, et cetera.

But here we are now.

Like you said, I really hope he's doing alright. And hopefully, he still has the support of his members. He'll need their love and encouragement to go into this next phase.

And lastly, I hope every bully and OT6'er has a horrible life. Fuck all of them for ruining a young man's life over something as simple as a girlfriend and a cigarette.

The fact that he suddenly has an IG.......this is so wild

I really don't know how to feel. While he's getting a second chance as a soloist, SM still played by the rules of bullies. He'll never be part of RIIZE again, which is exactly what they wanted.

Then again, the continued harassment of RIIZE would take an extreme toll on everyone's mental health. So this might be the 'best' outcome theoretically.

I'm still boycotting, but,,,, yeah. It's a strange feeling.

i know many of us wanted seunghan back in riize, but i’m honestly glad he’s going solo. he’s already been through so much — an indefinite hiatus, returning to the group, only to be bullied and kicked out again. even if he were reinstated in riize, both he and the other members would’ve faced endless backlash for the rest of their careers.

the ot6 fans aren’t the type to silently unstan like we did. their protests to remove seunghan would only escalate, and i’m genuinely worried about his safety. while the majority of the fandom supports him, the korean fans—particularly the ot6 ones—are the ones idols are constantly surrounded by. i just saw the news of sunwoo from the boyz being assaulted by a saesang, it’s hard not to imagine seunghan going through far worse if he came back.

sure, being back in riize might’ve been the best move for his career, but there’s a silver lining here. seunghan is incredibly talented and has so much support from multiple fandoms. his solo debut is bound to succeed! plus, this way, we can support him without dealing with the toxicity of the ot6 fans (assuming they leave him alone.)

let’s give seunghan the best fandom ever, the one he truly deserves.

John Krasinski is a handsome, talented man, but is he really Sexiest Man Alive 2024? If any white man, I would think they'd pick Glenn Powell because of the way he skyrocketed this year.

It's just a silly People's Mag tradition, but idk man..... Byeon Wooseok is right there.
