idk. I want like five more, realistically, what-if reveal episodes. idc if they're hated, they're little cocomelon greek tragedies to me. I watch ephemeral again and she makes an impulsive decision to not enact Second Chance, she tells Luka to wait. she's asking the one power with a limited time frame to wait. she makes one innocent mistake; it's also the mistake she's been trying to avoid since the beginning. marinette sees adricat wherever she goes, it's driving her half-mad. she seeks consolation with luka and she asks "did finding out the person you loved had a side of them you didn't know change that love you had?", and he replies that it only made him love that person more. she's so so scared to tell adrien because this wasn't in her plan originally but she can't just go back to not loving him! and he can't even speak at first, when marinette drops her transformation, and the kwamis share that doomed little look with each other. they pass notes in class and find empty theaters to watch movies alone in. the world almost ends because ladybug made one move. love it.
The one thing I really wished they had done in the show was make a "reveal episode" in each season. I feel like Adrinette and Ladynoir, and even Ladrien and Marichat change their dynamic so much between seasons that it would be so interesting to see how a reveal would be effected by each season's dynamic.
It also gives them the opportunity to do so many different kinds of reveals. With Chat Blanc and Ephemeral we had "Adrien finds out first" and "Marinette finds out first" respectively. With a new reveal each season, who knows what else we could have had. Maybe we could have had a mutual reveal, or a one-sided reveal, or any number of combinations of the lovesquare reveal. All leading up to the real one, the one that sticks.
One reveal episode per season would have been AMAZING.
An "Adrien finds out first," a "Marinette finds out first," a private mutual reveal, a PUBLIC mutual reveal, two public one-sided reveals, the possibilities are endless.
(Can you tell I crave a public reveal episode, I love angst)
