I made this piece in honor of all the queer folks that came before us, especially the gender nonconforming ones. Many are not famous or well known, and that is on purpose. It hangs on my wall.

People mentioned here: Billy Tipton, Murray Hall, Charley Parkhurst, Joseph Israel Lobdell, John Smith and James Pratt, Mademoiselle de Beaumont, Lili Elbe, Kuchek Hanem, We'wha, Olha Koby Iianska, Akiko Uosano, Marcela Gracia Ibeas and Elisa Sanchez Loriga, Bayard Ruston, Yukio, Arthur Berloget, Bowery Queen, Zimri Lim, Ela, Sylvia Brake, James Clay, Albert Cashier, Public Universal Friend, Jack Bee Garland, Mary Jones, Thomas Hall, Boulton and Park, Sammy Williams, Nell Pickerell

This is the leather and rubber pride flags! While not always LGBT+, these communities have been heavily intertwined with ours throughout history and cannot be ignored, especially when these pride flags are some of the older ones in our community.

This is probably my largest pride flag piece at three feat by three feat, featuring nearly eighty pride flags with Baker’s 2017 pride flag in the middle. The 2017 flag has an extra stripe of lavender to signify the diversity of our community as well as the eight original stripes Gilbert Baker put together in the first place.

Also... This one is going to hang in Baltimore City Hall Galleries this month! So, if you’re in the area, you can swing by and see it!
