GUESS WHAT I WANT TO DO
A new Bulletin Board for a new semester :)
This was by far my favorite bulletin board I’ve every done. The pictures are from their freshmen year/my junior year of everyone on the hall.
The door decs were floppy disks. (Want to feel old? Some of them didn’t know what they were) Anyways, anyone who had left had a floppy disk on the board with their name on it.
I loved my girls last year and couldn’t have asked for a better hall.
Scooby Doo to talk about Social Justice! This was a lot of fun. The villians were different kinds of prejudice and the gang was each a different social justice term.
These are some of my favorites from the goals board, by the way. My girls were GREAT.
Butterfly into a new semester! (Does that pun work?) Anyways, don’t do butterflies. They take for fucking ever even if they look great.
The bulletinboard on the left was goals and the one of the right was things we looked forward to in the new year. (Some little shit put finals...) The goals always made me laugh because there was something new every time I walked by.
Finals was Inside Out because they throw us all a little off (especially Freshmen). Not my best work, but definitely still fun. :)
This is probably the set of door decs I’m most proud of, even though the rest of the hall was pretty neat too. Everyone was a different Disney character (I was Tinkerbell), and it was just a lot of fun.
However, the board that says No More (IE, the No More excuses for rape culture campaign) was torn down, though quickly fixed. They didn’t touch the one with feminist examples though!
And of course, who doesn’t love a good Harry Potter theme? Even better, I had two bulletin boards to spread out on.
And the final set of the year was a beach theme, because who isn’t ready for Summer by April?
Gender was definitely out of this world for second set of the semester! The bulletin board looked great. Someone told me some of my door decs looked a bit more... bongish?
I don’t know, but this was the second board to get vandalized. Someone stole my Pangender planet, and I found the genderfluid one in the elevator...
Hope I helped someone figure themselves you rather than them being an asshole.
We were also having a problem in the laundry room, so we tried to remind people to take their clothes.
(Not my best work)
Alice Wonderland started our Spring Semester! Honestly, this was my most popular bulletin board, which was nice because that spiral took FOREVER to cut out...
Don’t do spirals, y’all. They are awful, even if they look great.
For the Holiday season, I had study tips on snow flakes and cute wreathes for the doors :) (Tip: Wreathes only last a few weeks if you want to make your own)
I started my RA life with Share a Coke With... as my theme for the first six weeks. (Sadly, that means someone also wrote deez nuts on my board when I asked if they were a cat or a dog person. Don’t make interactive boards if you aren’t prepared for this)
