Florida Supercon quick recap!

Okay, so…I have been kinda lax with posting any sort of recap from my time at Florida Supercon. I’d prefer to keep some of it to myself….but I can at least share a quick summary here. :) Enjoy!

Photo 1: I went into my 2nd photo op of the weekend without a pose in mind. Brett first suggested we do ‘awkward prom photo’, but I made an “ =\ ” /unsure face. So, he then suggested “badass SHIELD pose”, and this amazing photo was born. (I prefer to think of it as me having his back. ;) )

Photo 2: I’d requested that we do a “Skyeward inspired pose” for our photo op. A sort of ‘embrace’. Kind of like the promotional one from S1, but less tense.

=P He instantly smiled when I mentioned Skyeward and asked how we were gonna do it. After the photographer snapped the pic, he went over to see how it came out; wanting to make sure it was okay. He walked back to me, joking that it looked like he was strangling me. haha Later on, I brought it over to him to autograph and he remarked how awesome it had come out. As I was walking away after chatting for a bit, I noticed that he’d written “Hydra” on my photo. I instantly stopped and went back to him, going: “whoa! whoa! whoa!” I mentioned how Ward was never Hydra, despite what the writers tried to twist it to be with his characterization (to which he agreed). So, I asked if he could at least write an “S” in the front of it and make it ‘Shydra’. That would be more accurate. He laughed and obliged. The 2 girls who were con volunteers also laughed, saying how it looked like it would be pronounced “SHHHHHHHHHHydra”, because of the capital S and capital H. We all laughed and thought it actually sounded awesome that way.

Photo 3: I am SO incredibly proud/happy that the new, official standwithward / wardwarriors logo has finally been revealed!! laurieesc, myself, and Brett have been holding onto this bad boy for a while now. Ward has a LOT in common with a wolf and its traits/characteristics…not to mention all the wolf-like mentions in the show and in interviews leading up til now. He might be a lone wolf on the show, but we are his wolf pack! Right, Warriors?!

Photo 4: Brett snapped this selfie of us together after I blew his mind with a few awesome gifts (not all are pictured - there might be another surprise for people down the road…)! He noticed that the photo had accidentally cut off the “Brett” on the first bottle, so cheekily added it on the print I handed him. Yes, I hunted down Coca Cola bottles to spell out this dork’s entire name. ^_^

The stuffed animal he’s holding is a wolf. I shit you not, the company who made him is called “Douglas”…so this is Douglas Ward! I affectionately refer to him as “a wolf in Ward’s clothing”! ;) Its hard to see in this photo, but he is wearing dark jeans, a white shirt (with the new Stand With Ward logo on it!) - complete WITH half-tuck!!, a faux black leather jacket, SHIELD ID badge, and badass aviator sunglasses! He also has a sidearm (miniature replica metal toy, complete with holster). but as TSA were NOT going to approve of it traveling in any way shape or form by air, I mailed it to his fan mail address, so its awaiting him in California. :) (I’d also given him his own Stand With Ward logo shirt).

Photo 5: Heard of Travelocity’s roaming gnome? Meet Moo the Bunny! He travels the world and made his way down to Miami, Florida! Brett is his very first celebrity encounter and he is proud to #StandWithWard! Moo’s FB page: http://ow.ly/P3Os3

Photo 6: The girls and I wanted to do something cool for a group photo while at Florida Supercon. So, I realized there were four of us and we could each hold a sign which would spell out: “We Stand With Ward”! I’m so happy with how this turned out! Brett loved it, too! (We were up til past 3am stenciling and painting these signs! It was worth the late hours, though!)

Overall, the con was outstanding and Brett got a LOT of love!! His line *NEVER STOPPED*. He was constantly busy, but that only goes to show that his star is indeed on the rise. He is such an amazing guy who is extremely funny and down to Earth. Everyone who meets him ADORES him. Whether its a die-hard fan, someone who’d never heard of AoS before, or even people who went to the con disliking his character. Everyone, EVERYONE leaves raving about how amazing this man is.

If you have the chance to meet him, DO IT. You’ll be glad you did.
