Holy fucking shit you guys I’m probably not the first one who picked up on this since the OFMD fandom is big but I’m literally one second away from crying my heart out right now and I haven’t heard anyone talk about this before.
Stede accepting his feelings for Ed and Ed cutting off his feelings for Stede share the same background track.
But not only that: The scenes literally transition into each other if you cut them together because the soundtrack connects them.

A fellow Satie lover 🥹 Debussy is amazing but I absolutely ADORE Satie; and the way they continuesly used Gnossiennes No. 5 as Stede & Ed’s theme has touched me so much. I myself am more of a Gymnopédie person but god do I love the use of that theme for them! It’s perfect… so fucking tender. I personally am hoping for a bit of Chopin in the next season! I feel like especially in the angsty bits, which are definetly gonna happen plenty, let’s be real, his music would be perfect. Ahh sorry got tangled up nerding out but this was great!
