I feel lucky and honored to be in fandoms that are very warm and welcoming. I suppose that currently I am semi-active in two fandoms. Sanctuary fandom is incredibly supportive, and it truly feels like a family <3 And so does the fandom for Il paradiso delle signore. It might be a very small fandom on Tumblr, but still we are here, and sharing this Italian extravaganza with others is the most fun I've had in years!

▶️ - What type of youtube videos do you typically like the most?

Either fanvideos of my favourite ships or reading vlogs / monthly reading wrap-ups by some book bloggers that I watch 😊

1. Talk about the first ship you ever had.

I think it was Cornelia / Caleb from W.I.T.C.H. I was obsessed with them when I was ten years old. I remember rewatching their moments daily and writing lots of things about them in my diary.

5. Do you have any poly ships?

No, I don’t. This is just not a dynamic I vibe with personally.

17. Talk about a pairing you’ve stopped shipping romantically.

I have two ships like that.

Firstly, Lucy / Wyatt from Timeless. I was their biggest shipper in season 1, but then season 2 came out, and suddenly I couldn’t stand even the thought of them. I think the screenwriters really didn’t do them justice and gave them a lot of weird moments, which led to me jumping ships and becoming a dedicated Lucy / Flynn shipper.

And then a similar thing happened to Eliza / William from Miss Scarlet and the Duke. I loved them in the first couple of seasons, and even wrote fics for them, but the further the show progressed the messier their relationship became, and I think that the writers dragged the “will-they-won’t-they” dynamic for too long, plus some moments between them were really disappointing. And so Eliza / William are not my ship anymore.

26. Have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? Is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to?

Huh… I guess I am always drawn to characters that have a strong emotional connection to each other that the writers build over the course of time. So I like it when my ships take time to get together, and when it’s not just instant physical attraction, but more of a slow process of getting to know each other and falling for each other gradually. And I guess it’s also connected to me liking not only slowburn ships, but also ships with already pre-existent history. You can give me couples who are in a healthy established relationship from the start, and my brain will attach myself to said couples for eternity.

30. Name a couple of fandoms in which you have no ships.

I honestly don’t think I have any? I will always find a ship for myself. Always haha.

5. what’s your comfort show?

At the moment it’s definitely Il paradiso delle signore. This show helped me through real life difficulties and is bringing me a lot of joy. Close second would be All Creatures Great and Small, such a precious show.

7. have you ever been inspired to start a new show based on gifs or memes it has produced?

Oh yes, multiple times! I think that I have found at least 50% of my tv shows via gifs on Tumblr. The most recent example I can think of is Hilda Furacão, a Brazilian miniseries that I binge-watched in March 2024. It only took a couple of gifsets that I stumbled upon on Tumblr, and boom, a new hyperfixation was born. And some of my “older” favourites found via Tumblr are Babylon 5 and Murdoch Mysteries, for example.

11. which TV show has the best musical soundtrack, in your opinion?

Ooooh this is a tough one… again, I can’t help mentioning Il paradiso delle signore, I listen to its soundtrack on a regular basis, it makes me happy and helps me focus. But one more tv show that comes to mind is 1899. A phenomenal show with a wonderful soundtrack that contributes immensely to the concept and the overall vibe of the series.

22. if you could write your own TV show, what would it be like?

I guess I would like to write a period drama, maybe a story that takes place in 19th-century Russia, as this is the time period that I have the most knowledge of… and that’s all I have for the moment ahah. And certainly there would be a love story, as I am a romantic at heart… and also I would like my story to highlight the importance of both romantic and platonic love… but these are just some vague concepts that I have in my mind right now. Nothing specific in terms of plot, just vibes and feels.

37. which TV show setting would you most like to visit?

Either Il paradiso delle signore (I suppose you can see a bit of a trend here, because this show has literally taken over my life 😅) or Murdoch Mysteries. Both are period dramas (1950s-1960s Italy and 1890s-1900s Canada) with elaborate sets, and I would love to take the longest walk possible and inspect everything, pretty please.

Sadly, no. I wish I had Sanctuary on DVD… but alas.

The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky (read it two times, and will absolutely read it again), Fathers and Sons by Ivan Turgenev (read it FIVE times, and yes, will read it again!), The White Guard by Mikhail Bulgakov, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, Quo Vadis by Henryk Sienkiewicz (rereading it now, and loving every second of it).

I prefer day. I love night, but the only thing I really do at night is sleep, because I am very much NOT a night owl 😅 And there are so many things I can do during the day!

Ooooh... well, first of all, Milan! I didn't have the chance to visit it the last time I was in Italy. And as for the countries that I've never been to, I'd love to travel to Switzerland.
