I took a bunch of "reference" photos while on one of the islands so I could do something along these lines. Me n' @glasseyeartspy's OCs (the pig is named Rhodium now).

I wish it had actually been this nice but with the several tropical storms swirling around us, the humidity was miserable. If we were in an area with wind, or even on a boat blasting through wind and waves, that was totally fine! But being in the still air was awful.

A more accurate portrayal of what it was like most days.

I am sick with god-knows-what that reared its ugly head halfway back home so I need to go get in bed and suffer for a while from that before I can do more.

hrhrghfh... trying to distract my brain from the stress that is the water heater deciding to leak where it CAN'T be fixed and may need full replacement, 3 days before we're supposed to be leaving on a week-long trip across the country

I was working on this and got frustrated with all the angles and stuff, and then I realized... if there's any Transformers continuity I can get away with the softbody approach in, this is it.

And this way, you can see the texture brushes I was able to layer to look kinda like a city better than when they're blocked by Astro's big-ass wings.

got me doodling xenos for the first time in 20 years

and I xeno-ified Wick too of course

hit a bit of a road block trying to figure out Larimar's new markings, and these vaguely-inspired-by-tropical-fish-with-the-tight-wavy-stripes seems to be working out for her.

once I finish that back view, I get to move along to figuring out how I want them to translate to her monster form. or how much I want to keep vs. not keep for her monster form, considering how her "skin" wrap looks versus her skin here.

so hey, I might not like most of my art from 2018/older, even though I've opted to keep it up so I don't fall into the "artist who deletes everything out of nowhere" I've witnessed from artists I like in the past. but that doesn't mean you get to barge in and leave single word comments like "ugly" on said pieces.

one-way ticket to block town, especially if your entire blog is blank and what I can find is similar mean-spirited/shallow comments around the site.

I am here in my own corner minding my own business, I'm not very active especially in the art scene these days, how you found something from six years ago that I haven't revisited since is beyond me. but, seriously, get out of here with that juvenile behavior.

It's been a while...

A familiar face from the SU days I've been meaning to revamp into her own thing since 2017, and am just now getting the motivation to do so.

She's now a creature along the lines of a selkie or swan maiden that has a sea-going monster form, and a more humanoid land-going form with her "monster skin" as a wrap around her waist.

Got one more Art Fight piece done for the year.

Revenge on @lapisdraws01 of her BX-series droid Dice! I realized I hadn't done any robots this year, shame on me! I'm a sucker for droids-turned-against-their-initial-function, I had to draw this guy.

Art Fight attack for Rawr-Horse!

I had this sketched and lost it due to a literal two-second power outage, but after I was dramatic about it I buckled down and got the image I had in my head back. I had to draw this wonderful guy, millions of hands be damned!

I tried to give the mask an old and painted look to it, and took a few liberties with the markings as well.

I happened upon this neat character and went overboard, couldn't just stick to a partial body like I was gonna try originally!

Ehhh I guess I might as well post these. Outfit concepts, some rougher than others. Half of them are just monochrome and half actually have an actual color scheme of sorts going.
