Sometimes I apparently dream in cartoons... this one contained some kind of next generation sequel from Adventure Time? I liked the idea of a weird group of fire wizard nomads living and throwing parties on burning / glowing, wandering trees and the the colour layout was interesting for this scene, so I decided to give it a go.
From the Magnus Archives Episode 154 The character designs for these two are based on the ones by @thirdchildart who introduced me to the podcast in the first place and who is storyboarding a big part of episode 159 'The Last' as a fan-project at the moment (It is going to be amazinG!!!) I binged through four seasons in the last month and it was the perfect mix of horror and mystery to listen to for the autumn season. Now I still have the final season in front of me and man, have I grown fond of these voices, these characters, the story and the makers of the show as well. Just great stuff.
No complaints Just a little scene between to characters of mine... (They recently left another burdensome travel companion and with him a lot of drama in a city.) I just felt like drawing a lot of rough and unrefined things. And mountains. Ah, it was so lovely to hike in the mountains.

Oathbringer Part 3: Diplomat Loooooooong post, I know. This dialogue took way more panels than I expected. Since I also plan to post this on instagram, I experimented more with single size panels (and conjoined ones). I had a lot of fun with the Thaylen City scenery and that tiny bit of the Rift... Not a dramatic scene here, but one with a lot of little details I like: Dalinar moodily munching on nuts he randomly finds in his armrest, Navani knowing exactly whom she married and hey, even Sadeas pops up shortly... well, onto whatever comes next :D
Oathbringer Part 2: training on the plateau
I really like the bridge four chapters. This is from one from Rock’s point of view, where he offers life counseling to his friends and is kneading bread with Renarin while shenanigans happen in the background. (also as someone who loves kneading dough, I highly approve of that scene.)
At Urithiru - library
I had one more for the Urithiru series (for now), but it turned out a bit more of a puzzle and took a while... trying out some weird perspectives to get everything what I wanted to show into one picture. It certainly is not perfect, but I am still happy with it. It is a next step. :)
Hating the needs of instructions

I’ve wanted to draw more of Renarin for a while now. Here we have someone who (in comparison to Captain Broodyeyes) actually is mentioned to smile very rarely.
It was pretty funny to me how you all cheered Adolin to murder in that scene with him and Sadeas. 😅 Personally I stan him because of moments like this and especially the sweet, brotherly bond he and Renarin share.

spectacle of the feast / moss!
more rough stuff... the first one, because I have always been interested in the light situation of the feast basin. And the second one, because each time these three are in a scene together it is an absolute delight. (also Adolin is definitely and absolutely adorable.)

more scribbles, because they are fun and fun is paramount. I feel like I can get a better grasp on Hoid, when I draw him in a more cartoony way (... I am sure he could appreciate that) – even if he has a rather serious expression here. When I did the sketch of Kaladin leaning against the prison bars, I decided for him to not even have his vest on to emphasize his unraveled state. Then I noticed I have never drawn him with just his shirt on. It felt weirdly ... intimate. And then with a bit of stubbles... *fans air with hand*😳
I love the bonding between Kaladin and Adolin. Prisonbeard-bros for life!
