Oh god another facebook gem.
I am not even following this page but it somehow detected my rizzles shipper scent.
I love how cute and adoring Sasha/Maura looks here. Let me live in the delusion that she’s actually looking at Jane.
This is obviously a manip and I am not comfortable just post the pic here without crediting the author, so a screenshot it is. Even though I don’t think that page is the original creator either, it’s better than nothing I guess.
Let me know if you made this so I can do a proper credit!
Happy birthday to AO3 🎂🎉
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AO3!
I've got like four or five things that I actually like, and I just stick to those.
Jane ‘knows Maura’s boob very well’ Rizzoli.
Hey guys be cool and normal but reblog this with the homemade meal that would get you the most hyped as a child. I need it for reasons.
but often i sit and i think of all the intent that when into fearne’s ruidusborn identity, predating imogen’s, and how it was intended for fearne and imogen to have that shared bond. the moon of ill omen forged them together in its ruddy glow. and imogen can see the energy flutter off fearne’s freckled skin, and fearne can catch an imperceptible growth in imogen’s marks, and fearne can watch like a hawk for any moment imogen might be lost to predathos, and she can desperately plan a way to save her.
orym once telling fearne that Fearne has to be the one to take imogen out. and fearne can’t. agree. fearne Can’t. Agree? that’s her thing!!!! she can’t even entertain the idea of imogen being lost to this, and she knows that all imogen wants is laudna, so what would this exandrian born fey really really do if there was an opportunity to take upon herself the evil meant for imogen.
imogen dreading that she’s going to be the vessel, or her mother, and it’s taking her over, her skin is turning red and her marks blinding white, but then she sees fearne. and fearne's skin is turning red and rivulets of starlight curl along her horns, and imogen is there in that red nightmare thinking of when predathos almost took her and fearne's cry for her cut through, and in a cold sweat, shaking, imogen knows what fearne is doing. fearne's doing what she does best, right? she's taken something from someone else.
and it shouldn't work, oh no, no it shouldn't. fearne isn't an exaltant, fearne's personal bond with ruidus was nothing more than a faint red mist, and in the moments of great strife predathos touches his ruidusborn and exalts them. but what imogen can't see until after is that fearne watching imogen being eviscerated by the god-eater, is that that is fearne's moment of great strife and panic and pain. but this exalting is different. this surrender is different. fearne wants predathos to take her instead, a blind primal want, a mindless hunger; fearne wants to take it from imogen, needs to take her place. and this internal strength of fearne, this immovable determination, fearne is flooded with the heartbeat of the divine's oblivion and she can feel it. predator to predator, predathos recognizes a creature alone and caged and hungry, and how she wants predathos to take her instead. (cough, matron/vax/vex, cough!!!!!)
fearne no longer hiding behind the mask of her feelings, this girl who she loves, this girl who she needs to keep safe from the big bad wolf of their world, she can take predathos and she can take her desire and she can realize without shame or fear that perhaps they are one in the same.
this god-eater takes their hungriest child as a vessel, and exandria holds its breath as fearne looks down at existence, her stomach shredded itself apart in her hunger, and predathos pauses, because she cannot devour this world. it’s where imogen lives. it's where imogen can finally be happy and free.
and fearne bows her head, an outsider to exandria, an outcast to the fey, and she thinks of the place predathos came from, of That home, and what if that was always her home. she never belonged here, she has to go, predathos has to go. for her friends. for her Friends.
she brushes her hand against the marks sparking on imogen's cheek, and she smiles. imogen did change the world. fearne would've never been here otherwise.
and if beyond the grasp of the astral plane there is a withered husk the size of a moon floating dead and dying, fearne can smile one last time grateful beyond sense that the girl she loves didn’t have to bear this fate. and a nebula of lavender erupts somewhere beyond comprehension.
fearne was made for this. not for She Who Ate The Gods but She Who Took For Love. the fey plots who engineered fearne for their schemes, no. she was made to save imogen. and every smile imogen has from then on is because fearne couldn’t lose her. ruidus and predathos were the reason they lived the lives they lived, their lives ran parallel but never entwined, and fearne doesn’t care because how lucky was she to have been alive at the same time as imogen.
wow babe you’re really good at staying up incredibly late and barely sleeping every night
nothinggg better than torturing an emotionally repressed character until every single trauma they've ever refused to process starts spilling uncontrollably out of the cracks. like a matryoshka doll situation of repressed trauma and baby you better believe i'm going in there with a hammer
*slowly reaches for the popcorn*
@doomsday-dj, the great cinnadoom roll, singlehandedly got me back from my pseudo hiatus by reminding me that hermiting in times of struggle is actually really dumb & buffoonery is actually very smart
