Donald Trump has been invited to speak at Liberty University on Martin Luther King Junior Day.
I am a member of a group who is planning to peacefully protest Trump’s address on that day. The fact that Trump, a known racist, is being given an audience at all (Christian university or not) is INCREDIBLY disrespectful to King’s memory.
There are many Liberty students against Trump’s address on the 18th. Supporters of Bernie Sanders (like myself WOO #FeeltheBern), Ben Carson, Rand Paul, conservatives, liberals and everyone in between are joining in to protest Trump’s presence.
This protest isn’t about religion or politics, it is about different groups setting aside their differences and standing against Donald Trump.
If you are in the Lynchburg, Virginia area and would like to show up to the protest (we are planning on holding signs with MLK quotes) to peacefully protest outside the security perimeter please do so.
I usually stay away from politics but this, to me, isn’t about politics it is about basic human decency.

PLEASE PLEASE don’t argue on this page. There are already many Trump supporters on the page (I didn’t even know they existed honestly) who are angry and completely missing the point of this protest. The point is is that yes, even though he is despicable Donald Trump does have the right to speak and the university did have the right to invite him, however it is in immensely poor taste to have Trump speaking on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
