War and Conflict - Landscapes of War
Without a caption or the proper documentation to situate this photograph within the context of war, one could easily read it as nothing more than an interesting study of abstract lines and tones. Understanding it as a distinctly war-based photograph, however, gives the image added layers of meaning; for in addition to being a stunning view, it can also represent a rare moment of beauty found as a result of the machinery of war.
