#he knows something
ella reposted ghoulcy art. we can all go home.
Decided to rewatch Fallout for all the little bits and details missed during the first watch. Currently watching Episode 3.
They showed us this scene with Cooper and Barb...our introduction to Cooper's wife. She was at the snack table outside the studio waiting for him to finish filming. Cute little pretend meet-cute flirting. She offers him a treat to try with this quote:
And he does this when he takes it from her. I need a gif of it! I only grabbed a screenshot.
He makes sure to rub his finger against her when he takes it.
I wonder if this little finger touch is something they do a lot? Just a tiny bit of affection and love to the other? And if so, how did he feel when Lucy bit his finger off? Was he reminded that it was this finger that he used to do this with his wife? Because we know Cooper Howard loved Barb... Even if his marriage when downhill, I dont think he fell out of love with Barb. He just couldn't get over what she was planning with Vault-Tec.
And now he's got Lucy's finger in it's place. A finger that never touched Barb.
This little honest exchange has so many levels.
Ashford Tourney Theory
It’s a strange coincidence that the champions of the Ashford Tourney, from the Dunk and Egg stories, seem to follow the pattern of Sansa’s suitors in the series.
Call me delulu but I'm obsessed with the fact that the first glimpses of Cooper and Lucy we get are him as a divorced dad and her as an excited bride-to-be.
Well now, that’s interesting...
Regarding House Hollard, there was mention of Jon Hollard and Robin Hollard in Brienne(AFFC II). Jon Hollard was the steward who married Lord Denys sister.
Is this secret jonsa in some way I’m not seeing?
Hold my hand, someone.
A steward (named Jon!) married the sister of a rebellious Lord, who himself had married a woman of questionable origin and might have done better if only he had married another woman instead. Alas he died young, along with the rest of them.
Steward Jon Hollard and his more highborn wife had a son, named Robin.
I mean, could be nothing, but also… hehehehe. Good find, anon!
Florian and Jonquil involves a giant and a dragon. Sansa slays the giant while Jon slays the dragon?
Reading through Stumpy's chapters I realized that the book opens with Sansa's first crush. If it closes accordingly, how is it said that Sansa is not a major character? I remember arguing once that who Sansa marries is a major plot point, it literally drives the story forward, and of course they didn't want to accept it because... Dany. Jon-Sansa is such a beautiful story, both for coming together and individually. They grow so much in 5 books it's rewarding to follow as a reader.
You're right and it's good that you took the time to say it. <3
She would rather die than ask Jon, of all people, for help. The history between them is gnarled, knotted, dangerous.
But Sansa thinks she knows something about the nuns that keep going missing in Boston, and she knows no one else will believe her.
The woman Jon saved was obviously shot intentionally to remind us of Sansa being attacked? It was almost frame by frame, right?
YEEESS
I THOUGHT THE SAMEE THIIIING
on repeat for the next week
“..and a Targaryen queen!”
Our girl whipped her hair so fast. I love a jealous Sansa. We gotchu Lady Stark.
Remember back in season 6 when Sansa had intense fights over needing more men. Jon was stubborn and didn’t want to listen. Now here in season 8 we have Jon arguing for the larger armies.
Sansa had to play the game with her Uncle. Jon will have to play the game with his Aunt. Jon nearly choked Littlefinger to death in a jealous rage and now we see Sansa acting out in a snarky jealous manner. Sansa finally rid herself of a Littlefingers influence, Jon will end up doing the same with Daenerys.
YES to this parallel!
Got Afterthoughts Part 1 — The Opening Credits
Okay, so I’ve decided to break this down into two parts, as I think the opening credits deserve their own post. For starters: how gorgeous are they?!?!
The very first thing we are presented with is this “belt” banner image.
A scene of a dragon raining down fire on what appears to be a man? At first I thought it was another dragon (injured on the ground with its one wing curled up around its body) but upon closer inspection, I believe those are actually the flames surrounding whatever is burning. There also appears to be soldiers in the picture.
Unsullied? Well, that’s what I thought at first. That perhaps this was a depiction of Drogon burning Kraznys to death when Dany obtained the Unsullied, however, upon further inspection, I think this might actually be depicting when Dany burns the Tarlys, and that those are actually Lannister soldiers. It makes sense with the fire blazing up in the sky — since Dany rained down fire upon the reach.
Either makes sense really, but since the dragon shown is fully grown, I’m leaning towards the latter — and I’ll explain why when we come to it. Curiously though, this is the very first image we are presented, and neither of the above mentioned scenarios paint Dany in a very good light. Just sayin’.
We could even say this might be depicting Aegon the Conqueror — but even that mirrors Dany, so…
And now, we begin our journey on the other side of the wall in the land of always winter. Through the broken wall, a trail of blue ice leads us to the Last Hearth, and on our way there the casts names begin to roll—and would you look at that?—Kit’s name smushed between Emilia and Sophie’s…
Interesting placement. I mean, it could be something, it could be nothing. But I’ll tell you one thing it definitely IS — it IS Sansa fucken Stark being an important and relevant MAIN character and all her haters can fucken choke and die mad about it. Sorry, not sorry.
Moving right along, we arrive at Winterfell, go in through its gates and into the great hall, and then down below into the crypts. Most of us have already guessed that the crypts would be important this year, and this just furthers that assumption. Ahhhh!!! I’m so excited.
Okay, and here we are presented with yet another “belt” scene.
Which upon closer inspection (and dear god please forgive the quality of my images here) we have what appears to be a depiction of the Red Wedding.
A lion with a fish in its mouth (Tully/Riverlands).
We have a headless wolf in stark-like armor with arrows protruding from its corpse.
And lastly a man holding the head of a Wolf with a knife in its other hand.
(I don’t know about you, but for some reason this just SCREAMS Northern Independence at me).
From there we arrive in Kings Landing and down down down the spiral tower of the red keep and deep into the dungeons where we land on imagery of Qyburn’s Scorpion pointed at the dragon skulls that dwell there. Then up up up into the throne room, the Iron Throne unfolding below a stained glass Lannister lion window.
Then lastly, our final “belt” banner, we have three smaller dragons flying beneath a blazing comet, and a larger dragon at their back.
Which to me depicts Dany as the larger dragon, the “Mother of Dragons” birthing her three dragon children under the red comet. The fact that these dragons are smaller makes me lean more towards the first dragon imagery depicting the Tarlys and not Kraznys.
No imagery of the Night King or wights, hmm?
And so it begins.
Part two coming soon!!
I’m in desperately need of a bigger version of this picture!!!
I mean—
I feel you jake I really feel you b
