I don't think the world appreciates joel kinnaman enough. the man is honestly one of the best actors out there.
his performances in suicide squad, the suicide squad, altered carbon, for all mankind, etc. are really good, but his performance in silent night? it's hands down his best role yet and he's not even said a single word in it.
I won't spoil anything but I am currently 44 minutes into this movie and he's put me in quite an emotional wreck already.
he genuinely deserves an award for this role and I'm not even joking

So, I just have to say that Nick Cage does it again with his acting. Like, he was that good in every scene that I was just so drawn to this outlandish personality and why his character was doing what he was doing. It's another role of Nicholas' that absolutely shines. He was brilliant.
And when it comes to Joel, he was equally just as good. You all know that I'm a very big fan of Joel's, and I'm not being biased here when I say this but with the way he played this character, I wanted to know more about him and I definitely felt the urge to want to save the poor bastard... And that is why I love Joel, he makes his characters so real and believable.
The acting seriously had me invested the whole way through and I really did enjoy the hour and a half that I sat there and watched it. And oh my god, I need to mention the symbolism that played out, because that was so good!!! I can appreciate a good symbolism moment.
But even though I enjoyed it, I of course have a bit of criticism. The pacing was off and it felt like although there was supposed to be a lot going on, nothing really happened until at least 20 minutes towards the end of the film, and that just kind of let it down. Given the information we were given about when it came to the storyline and how these characters interacted with each other, I genuinely thought we would have been given a lot more story than what we were given.
But other than that, I thought it was pretty damn good. I just wish certain things were executed better is all.
