Palermo, Sicily.
Taken by me.
Test... test... are there still people on this app? 👀
I hope that the rain can wash away the veil of sadness that formed in my soul.
Back from Seoul
Has anybody even noticed that I was away? lol
After 6 years abroad
My mother tongue (Italian) worsened.
My English skills are still so so.
My Dutch is meh.
I don’t even know. It’s from a book about languages my friend’s been reading. (it’s creepy that I can understand it …)
It was actually invented with that purpose: anyone who spoke any European language should be able to understand esperanto. It was meant to be a lingua franca.
STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING Y’ALL AND TELL ME IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS
I,understand about a half of it, I speak some dutch
“What Happened? Did your computer catch a virus? Did you suddenly develop BSE [mad cow disease]?”
Between German, English, Latin, a bit of French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian that was actually pretty readable to me.
I speak English and a very little spanish, and I can read it.
Super legible and I love it.
There are a few movies done partly or entirely in Esperanto, the most famous probably being Leslie Stevens’ Incubus (1966), a horror film starring William Shatner!
I only speak two languages (English and Spanish) and I got this loud and clear
I have actually understood the 98%. I am impressed! :D
BAGHERIA - VILLA ARAGONA CUTO’
Towards the end of the 1700s, diminishing the raids of the Turkish pirates, the various princes and noble Palermo moved their summer residence to Bagheria where enormous and elegant villas were built to welcome them. The prince of Aragon was one of these who built, in a place then isolated, a splendid villa which he then sold to the princes Filageri di Cutò, one of the most ancient and glorious Sicilian noble families. The Prince of Lampedusa, the author of the book “the Leopard”, a descendant on his mother’s side from the Filangeri, sold the villa to local bourgeois who sold it to the municipality of Bagheria. It is difficult to find relative photos inside the villa transformed into a museum, only the tireless Francesco (www.francescoinviaggio.it) reports on his site some photos of his beautiful interior, rich in majolica floors, and stupendous frescoes by the tireless and ubiquitous Borremans.

How beautiful is to wake up and start your day with a big slice of cassata also here in the Netherlands.
It is truly a panacea against nostalgia.
I already feel better!
Live from Sicily! Yesterday, after closing our two-week private tour (What a wonderful time I had with the family!), I headed to Salemi, a truly undiscovered treasure in Trapani Province. I met with @visitborgosalemi to learn more about this fascinating town and how we can collaborate to share it with @experiencesicily clients. I’m thrilled about the possibilities! Holidays are over
It's time to return to the Netherlands but this year we are controlling ourselves. We are bringing with us only 5 cassata cakes to share with our colleagues and friends.
