Julia Ann "Julie" Harris (December 2, 1925 – August 24, 2013) American stage, screen, and television actress. She won five Tony Awards, three Emmy Awards and aGrammy Award, and was nominated for an Academy Award. In 1994, she was awarded the National Medal of Arts.[1] She was a member of the American Theatre Hall of Fame and received the 2002 Special Lifetime Achievement Tony Award. She co-starred in such films as East of Eden (also 1955), with James Dean (with whom she became close friends)
