Meeting Alex Kingston....

This is too good to not share guys… Too good… It was more incredible than I could have even dreamed. First was the photo op… And oh my god… So I walked into the photo op and said “Hi! I’m steam punk River” and she said “Oh my god! Adorable!” And when i posed next to her, she took the handcuffs on my belt and held them out with a sexy look which is just AMAZING! Then once the photo was taken, I turned to her and just blurted out “I was your sixth instagram follower!” And he was like “Oh! Oh wow!” And she took my arms AND PULLED ME INTO A HUG SHE DIDNT HUG EVERYONE ELSE JUST ME! Then once I got the picture I went to go get her signature… And she said “Hello steampunk me!” I said “I have to tell you something” and I told her the whole story about the photo of her and how it stopped me from making the biggest mistake of my life. Basically, if you don’t know this story, one night, I was suicidal and I was going to take my own life… and I went onto my instagram to delete it and the first thing to pop into my feed was a picture of Alex holding a sign saying “You Matter” and if I hadn’t seen that picture, I would have absolutely killed myself.

Anyway, she took my hand between hers and she said “I didnt save you. The picture didnt save you. You saved you. You made a choice to live” and then she said “This is a beautiful place. All the trees and wind and water. There’s a lot of shit too (she said shit!!!) but it’s an amazing gift to live and you’re an amazing and special person. You’re strong. Stronger than River (!!!!!)” and all I could say at that point because I was in tears was “You’re amazing” and she said “I’m really not, I’m just nice. I plan to live till 102 and I want to see you walk up to me when I’m that age and ask for another autograph!” And I laughed and she said “Seriously, I want to see you again. So I know you’re okay.” And I said I’d try and she said good and then she took my picture and said “I’m gonna write hello sweetie on this one because it’s when we met” and then she took the other one (I got a photo of her too) and said “On this one i’m gonna write Spoilers so it’s not the same….” And then…. I can’t even write this without crying… She took the photo of us together, flipped it over and started writing: “Yes, you matter.. and never forget it. ♥︎”

I was stunned…

Then as I was leaving she said “Stay Strong” and gave my hand a firm squeeze. Guys, my life is forever changed… Forever changed… I will never ever forget today and I will never ever forget this woman… I’ll probably meet her again… and again… I will meet her as many times as I can before one of us bites the dust… and from what she said, That will be a long long time. <3 Peace out guys… I love you all and you all matter too… <3 <3 <3
