Rewatching Pride and Prejudice for the 100th time and the only thing I think is that that's how Ben should come back to Rey, slow walking through the morning mist, finally content that the woman he fell in love with loves him back...
Gaaaaahhh I talked about this in tags the other day, because the BTS footage of Ben walking through the desert, hair and cape blowing in the wind, looking like the single most byronic Darth Darcy in existence could have been a powerful as fuck cinematic parallel of the meadow scene in P&P.
Imagine Rey burying the sabers and looking up towards the horizon and there he is, her darkish lordling of 10,000 galactic credits a year, slowly walking towards her as the music swells (a reylo theme capable of putting Across The Stars to shame)
Imagine our collective hearts stopping as he finally reaches her and gives her that look he has just for her, the you’re every star in every constellation in the galaxy of my heart look and then she REMOVES HIS GLOVE and KISSES HIS HAND — THE ONE SHE WANTED TO TAKE ALL ALONG — and he says (the softest, gentlest, most tender) ‘Rey…’
