happy new year!

i can't believe it's already been a whole year since i properly joined the gifmaking community. i couldn't have asked for a better year; i've found new ways to love the things that i do, and the spark to create that i had previously felt dwindling.

it's been a big year for ol' ridge! not only did i start gifmaking, i started to take my writing into less of a "this is what others want me to write" approach and more of a "this is what i want me to write", and while my fics don't get the numbers they used to, at least i like them again :D i also!!! finished a whole entire story that clocked in at OVER A HUNDRED THOUSAND WORDS!!! in ONE project!! that i saw through to completion!!! i started a server based on one of my passions, i get the honor of modding for one of my friend's passion project and watch that thrive with all the pride in the world, and i just couldn't be happier with my place on the internet.

that's all thanks to the wonderful, wonderful people i've met here, though. whether you've been in my corner since the beginning or only just recently, whether you've been an active part or your talent has merely inspired me passively, thank you for this year. i love you guys endlessly. 💜
