Just a quick note to clear up some apparent confusion: Sarah McLeod, the Kiwi (New Zealand born) actress who played Rosie Cotton, is not Sean Astin’s real-life wife. Sean Astin has been married to Christine Harrell since 1992:
And while the little hobbit girl in Sean’s arms is actually his real-life daughter, the baby in Rosie’s arms is Sarah McLeod’s child, not Sean's.
