Smiling Friends really out here with a character who came from an abusive and unhealthy background/childhood who joined an organization to bring happiness and help to other people who are struggling because he know’s the struggle of depression and trauma and feelings of worthlessness himself and made it his life mission to fight against crippling hopelessness with optimism because otherwise life is too bleak to continue in and in this way he’s constantly proving to himself and others (the best he can) that love will always bring hope and happiness into life despite all the darkness and will be the first one to try and help others without question because he wants to be the person he needed most growing up and will fight to prove that life is always still worth living when there’s something to fight for
