I met David Tennant at Emerald City Comic Con! He was absolutely amazing. I gave David a drawing that I made for him as a gift and gave it to him during his autograph session. It was something I’d been working on for a while to show my appreciation. He’s my favorite actor, and he is absolutely talented. I’ve seen him in various things and wanted to show several of his characters in one image. A few of the background panels are elements of older David art I’ve done a while back. I am so happy to say that David loved it! Our conversation went like: Me: Hi David! David: Hi! How are ya, Katie? Me: I’m great! How are you? David: I’m good, thank you! Me: I drew this for you! David: Woow, that’s amaaaazing! It’s even got my T-Shirt on it! Me: Yeah, you wore it at the Portrait Artist event where everyone was drawing you. David: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Aww, that’s lovely! Thank you so much! Me: Thank you! David: You’re very talented. You should sell stuff here. Me: I want to! David: You should! There’s even a Good Omens one! David Tennant is such a great guy. Glad I got to finally meet him. It feels so surreal. Hearing my favorite actor say those kind words is mind-blowing and means a lot to me. Edit: Billie Piper was absolutely amazing too! I didn’t get a chance to meet her at the autograph table though, which is where you get more time to talk to a celebrity. Photo ops go by so fast so all we had time for was big smiles and a friendly “Hello”. I can definitely tell she is such a sweet person and I do hope to get another chance to talk to her too.
