“Is he okay?” Josh asks, becoming more serious.

“Liam? I don’t know. I think so. He’s not always listening to me and is probably going to get us both killed, but at least we will have some fun stories in the process.” He quips, laughing as Liam flashes golden eyes at him and growls in frustration.

“I meant Donovan.” Josh clarifies, becoming more reserved.

“It’s Donovan. I made sure he’ll stay in line.” Theo doesn’t give him any more information than that, but Josh nods in understanding, relaxing.

“That’s hot.” Liam teases, raising his eyebrows at Theo.

The playful smile on his face makes Theo warm and he knows Liam’s messing with him, but he’s still not sure how to respond.

Josh groans, no longer amused at their interaction.

Theo gaps at Liam, trying to make a comeback and joke around, but the word hot from Liam’s lips is still ringing in his ears.

“Guess we eat with anyone now.” Tracy stalks into the kitchen, slamming a plate on the counter and fuming at Theo.

“Ouch. I’m right here.” Liam smiles, uncomfortable at Tracy’s sudden appearance.
