Isco’s sprained ankle will reportedly rule him out for the next couple of matches. He initially picked up the injury in mid-August and has been absent from training since leaving the August 26 session before La Liga’s Matchday 2.

There was hope that he’d be able to recover in time for this weekend’s match, but he didn’t step out onto the training pitch in any of the previous two sessions this week. As it stands, he will not play against Osasuna this Saturday and probably not against Sporting CP next Wednesday either. 

Isco’s first match back will likely be against Espanyol on September 18. – Marca

Others - Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly has a pact with Zidane to play just an hour vs Osasuna and then 70 minutes vs Sporting CP in order to ease him back into match fitness. – Marca - Karim Benzema might be on the bench for the game against Osasuna. – Marca - There has been no update on Dani Carvajal’s undisclosed physical discomfort that kept him from playing for Spain on Monday, so it may have been something minor that won’t impede him from playing this weekend. [That’s just my theory based on the lack of news on his situation.]   ⌞ Update (Sep 7) Carvajal trained normally in Wednesday’s session.
