Do we know if River is in the 50th? Because she seemed really familiar with 10’s face as well, so she could have either seen him again and it was out of his established time stream (the 50th, I’m assuming) or it was the Meta Crisis Ten, which would mean that she’s seen him but he hasn’t seen her.

Thoughts on this pls Beatrice

I don’f follow spoilers and/or casting calls, so I wouldn’t know, but I’m pretty sure someone has told me River is not going to appear in the 50th, to our knowledge. 

But, for the Ten thing: David was going to stay for at least another season, so Moffat created River having that in mind, hence she behaved like she knew Ten already because she was going to have some of the adventures he had with Eleven, with him instead! (I don’t know if that’s clear? It’s a mess, to explain xD)

When I was told that David was going to be in the 50th, though, I immediately thought about this:

But I think we would know if Alex was on set by now, right? 

Oh, I didn’t know that! When did we find out David was going to stay on for another season originally and how didn’t I know that ‘til now?

Would we, though? I’m not sure because I haven’t followed it that closely, but I think a fair amount of the 50th has been filmed on closed sets, and if that’s the case, we’d have no way of knowing unless they decided to announce it!

I’m hoping for at least… three? more River episodes, or at least some River explanations. But then again, I’m still holding out hope for some more Pond explanations and of course I’m still wondering who the fuck is the Big Bad behind these past three series

It's new for me too! I read it a couple of weeks ago, top!  But it makes sense, if you think about it. Why would River speak of the Byzantium, which is actually her second episode on the show, if Moffat already knew there was going to be another Doctor? 

I sincerely hope River is going to be there, yes! And the "completely different birthday" innuendo would be explained too (I think it's the last one that still has to be explained?), but we won't know until the 50th comes, I guess. 

I firmly believe River is coming back though - and this post explained why. I also think she's rescuable (?) from the Library, and I explained that too. Twice. 

Now we only have to see if anything of what I picked up is going to become true *crosses fingers*

(I'm still waiting for a good explanation about the Silence, mind you!)
