   "'Sehun doesn't sing, dance or rap, and to top it off, he isn't even good looking. Why is he in the band?'" Sehun read off one of the tweets that he had chosen for this very special occasion, his tone indifferent. He fought to keep a straight face when you began to crack up, your laughter filling the room.

   Every few months you'd both sit down with a collection of fan responses and comments that were, for lack of a better word, mean. They were just plain mean. The intent behind them was to hurt one or both of you. While their entire purpose was just to bring negativity into your lives, you decided pretty early on that you wouldn't allow another person's resentment to affect you.

   You wouldn't give them the satisfaction of hurting you.

   So you'd sprawl out on the couch with some popcorn and go to town on them. In the privacy of your shared apartment, you'd poke fun at their insults. You'd have a good laugh repeating the comments, sometimes even agreeing or exaggerating on the claims. While it was all in good fun, you both had your limits and after a few hours the night would end with you fast asleep within the comfort of Sehun's arms, all of their hurtful words disempowered and long forgotten.

   Tonight was no different as you snuggled against Sehun, the atmosphere winding down and drowsiness tugging at your subconscious.

   "That one is dated and irrelevant. Listen to this. 'If Sehun had better taste, we wouldn't be stuck with this.'"

   There was only so much you could take before you needed a timeout and you were just about there when you saw the shattered remnants of your glass ornaments sprawled across the hardwood floor. Running into the living room and jumping over the largest pile of glass, you scooped Toben into your arms before he could play with the single remaining ornament. You checked his paws to make sure there were no cuts or slivers of glass. Him not being hurt was currently the only silver lining in this mess of a Christmas Eve.

   "Sehun!" No response. "Sehun! There's glass everywhere!"

   Toben squirmed in your arms, itching to break free and destroy yet another piece of your Christmas decorations and, inevitably, a fragment of your spirit. Your collection was dwindling. There weren't many left. On top of that, the house was a mess. Had you not known better, you would've assumed a hurricane had come through. Your once festive home now looked post-apocalyptic.

   You let out a frustrated sigh as you walked away from the crime scene, Toben still in hand.

   "Hey, what's wrong?"
