Another surprise birthday gift from a sibling contains more unsolicited witchitude! This sister is a therapist and she picked out this book for me because she thinks it "combines our interests." From a glance it kind of looks like DBT for witches? It has a definite pagan lean and I'm not pagan myself, but I'm still interested in giving it a read! This past year has made me really appreciate my sibs. It took me such a long time to realize that they love me.

I told one of my siblings I wanted candles and they specifically looked for one with a witch. My sibs make being broomcloseted from my parents just a little easier.

My birthday is this week and I was given a Nicoletta Ceccoli mini tarot deck! It's so creepy and charming and tiny and perfect and I already have a project in mind for them. The images are dreamlike and often unsettling, full of nods to fairy tales and children's literature. I'm so excited to use these! Top image is an assortment of cards from the deck. Bottom left are the Star, the Moon, and the Sun together. Bottom right are three cards that make use of twinning in their imagery (the Hanged Man, the Two of Wands, and the Two of Cups). The Two of Cups is right up a nod to "The Shining," though.
