I got the honor of doing some guest art for Centralia 2050 volume 2!
I had the idea of doing the kind of silly promo art you might see for a 90s/2000s anime where you imagine the characters in another setting... and because I'm a huge magical girl fan, I had to take that route for it. It was a lot of fun designing everyone's outfits and imagining the kind of way the story would be different in the setting...

i've had this comic idea for a while about these girls who meet at a punk show, it's kind of a little indulgent thing about identity and the punk scene and an excuse for me to make some characters inspired by people i know. i don't anticipate it's gonna be some kind of amazing project but i would really like if i could just get myself to MAKE SOMETHING for once instead of just thinking about it, yknow? i've been reading dykes to watch out for and it has me wanting to push myself to try harder. i gotta get myself to stop being such a perfectionist all the time, and just... get shit done. to stop letting things slip through my hands. i hope you'll like it when it's finished.
Yesterday I got to give Jeff Rosenstock a project I was working on since May!!!! Jeffield is handmade, vegan, and needle-felted from acrylic yarn that was brushed out to fluff. He has a bendable pipe cleaner skeleton and magnetic feet.

I made my friend!!! It's a TropicGel from Dragon Quest Monsters 2! He only appears in that game and nothing else!!! He's a coconut and a slime which means he's targeted DIRECTLY at me! Thank you Akira Toriyama!!!!!
He's a large pom-pom, trimmed to shape and adorned with felt leaves and a face, hand-embroidered eyes, and needle-felted "berries" on floral wire stems. This was a lot of fun to make and came out way better than I expected.
