Time flies by so fast on the homestead. Seems like just yesterday we was at the start of spring and now its full on summer. Wont be long till leaves are flying 😞
The garden is starting to come along. This second year of doing no-till is proving very interesting. Some of the things I tried worked out really well some not so good. So far the only thing to really pop up is radishes, a few volunteer carrots and of course the rhubarb. I got my hot peppers in the ground yesterday so that's something. If it don't rain later this afternoon I'm planning on getting corn in.
The little fellas, Mutt and Jeff are doing so good. They wait at the coop door for me every morning when I go out to let them out and then come out to stand on my feet and chirp at me. I really hope they stay just as friendly once they are grown.
I had a action-packed weekend last week as we had a double shot wrestling show. Unfortunately neither one drew a great big crowd so the merchandise selling wasn't great but I did get to do commentary on both and ring announce the second. With the price of gas traveling 2 hours to each was rough and I took a loss on the weekend but there's always the video footage for down the road. Building this company has taken a lot of work and it's cost me a lot of money and time away from home but hopefully one day it will pay off.
Another casualty or at least I believe it to be a casualty of the gas prices is the fact that eBay is completely dead. Most of my items don't even get views let alone any watchers or sales. Hopefully it'll turn around soon but I'm not counting on it until at least the fall.
Everything else here is pretty much the same we just keep carrying on. Dad celebrated his 80th birthday on Monday. Sometimes I really have a hard time with his aging. I really don't want to face what's coming in the future and I just try to enjoy every minute that I have with him and absorb his knowledge.
Thanks for reading my little update talk to you all later.
