Even so late into the season we are still getting goodies

After our wet chilly weekend we got a taste of winter these last couple days. High winds with gust over 30mph and overnight temps in the mid 30°s. Today it starts to turn around and by Saturday it could be in the 70°s.
Only upside is I finally made a pot of chili!
Busy day on the Homestead! Rain is coming the next 2 days and possibly some snow so we tried to get as much done as possible.
The wood is all cut! It took a month but it's done. Now time to concentrate on splitting.
Harvested the carrots and the last couple green tomatoes from the big garden. Not a whole lot left in there.
Topped and stored the carrots. Also going to root and plant the greens. The chickens love a little something green over winter!

I guess growing season is over here. We had light frost the last 3 mornings. I managed this last little harvest Saturday. I call it my little pot of madness lol. Plus I potted a green pepper and jalapeno plant to try to over winter. We will see how that goes.
The season is about over but the Zucchini just keep coming!
