this is just a sketch but. i love them and i like jean’s outfit.
okay so like. the thing about edgeworth is that the core of his character is DL-6. everything in his life is defined by the fact that his father was a defense attorney who was killed trying to save an innocent man, and he spent fifteen years without any sort of closure from the justice system. so yeah, even without manfred von karma's mentorship, that's some brain-frying stuff. it's very easy to see how nine-year-old miles edgeworth went from "someday i will follow in my father's footsteps and become a defense attorney that saves people" to "defense attorneys are corrupt and don't care about justice, they don't care about the victims of crime, the only way to provide any sort of closure to families who've experienced this kind of loss (families like mine) is to ensure that all defendants are declared guilty, no matter what."
and then, i mean, you know the story. phoenix remembers the boy that he once knew and does his damnedest to show him that there IS another way, and he helps give him closure via answers - what happened, why did it happen, why did no one figure this out sooner, etc. and of course we get our unnecessary feelings and edgeworth begins to internally confront his wrongs (gay to change ur whole worldview for a man btw. but i digress), but we also see this wonderful parallel between edgeworth and maya: two people who lost their parent due to DL-6 in some way, and then maya also experiences the loss of her older sister due to a long chain of injustices at the very beginning of aa1. this isn't the main point but i think it's important to note this parallel because quite literally everything in miles edgeworth's life comes back to DL-6 and the death of his father.
Happy Halloween! This year I choose violence >:)
"Damn me. Damn you all."
NOM!
Me? Corrupted? Of course not.. you can trust me.
aai2 fantrans transcripts archive!
so i noticed that the aai2 fantrans transcripts are slowly but surely getting replaced with the official scripts...but i don't want the old ones to be lost to time!! thankfully, they're available via the wayback machine, but they're a bit convoluted to find, so i decided to compile them here for archival purposes! use wisely :)
god bless the fantrans team...i thank them for their decade of service to this fanbase. never forget

I really love the parent-child relationship between them. Although the child is bigger and maybe older than the parent lol
I think I forgot to show tumblr this but it's been over a year since Phoenix Wright appeared on my crashed laptop screen
Ok so let me add my two cents to this and say how it isn't a good reference to Ororo and Scott's dual or history.
To do that I'll also compare McKay's reference in Avengers (2024) #18, which is a just the proliferation of a fanon cliché at best, with Hickman's reference in House of X and Powers of X, which actually understands the context of the source material.
I thought about it some more.
Here is how I see it! If McKay wants to communicate the fact that Ororo doesn't want into Scott's team while maintaining his "Scott has a very hierarchy based team that's kind of weird" then she should have expressed worry not disdain!
Ororo rejecting Scott's invitation by expressing worry over his current mental state (the panic attack) by noticing the increasingly obsessive way he's handling his team would have been SO perfectly in character for the both of them and much more useful for the plot.
Because yeah, it's completely valid for ororo to want no part in Scott's post Krakoa mental breakdown project where he's getting very strained and strict. Telling him. "hey, I don't think you're doing all that well, please take care I have some things to handle rn" would've been so in character for both of them considering they always always notice each other's mental states.
There, fixed it idk it's not that hard to not make ororo seem like she's "above" the X-Men while having them have a hard but useful conversation.
why does no one ever talk about the fact that ron desantis was highkey crushing on godot. like even his wife was like "yea he loves dudes in masks" and nobody in the fandom ever talks about it
DELITE DELITE RON DELITE FROM THE HIT GAME ACE ATTORNEY: TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. FLORIDA GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS DOES NOT HAVE A CRUSH ON GODOT
hear me out the other day i woke up and was immediately hit in the face with "7 year gap narumitsu in europe where phoenix kisses edgeworth in a low moment and then tries to flee and edgeworth uses mind chess on him to get the truth out of him which is a completely normal and ordinary average way to discuss your relationship"
