"Fresh Start" -- Chris/Darren

“You think you’re real hot shit, don’t you?” are the first words that Chris says to Darren.

It’s—not exactly the most promising start.  At least, it isn’t the way that Darren had hoped to finally meet the adorable, dorky looking kid from down the hall with the Chewbacca backpack and the Marvel comics t-shirts.

It doesn’t really help matters that Darren is about twenty percent unintentional asshole and eighty percent eager to please, because his reply, instead of being “no I am actually pretty fucking cool, what’s up?” or “your hair looks like you slept funny this morning, hi my name is Darren,” is a slightly offended, “Well fuck you very much!” with a matching grin that completely contradicts his tone.

Fic: Problems

For Terry who wanted cisgirl!crisscolfer and apparently this is what I came up with. Oops?

Getting her hair out of Blaine’s high, tight, gel laden pony tail was often the best thing that happened at the end of Darren’s day. She had no idea why they let her character have such rock solid hair. It wasn’t comfortable in the slightest and Darren was afraid that she was going to go bald or something equally worse before she turned thirty. With the amount of products they put in her hair, it was amazing she had any left.

Darren ran her fingers through her hair, trying to break up the gel a little bit. She wasn’t sure whether to have a shower in her trailer or just wait until she got home. Her fingers tangling in her hair made the choice for her.

With a sigh, Darren headed to her trailer and the moment she stepped inside, she stripped, leaving a trail of clothes in her wake.

It wasn’t particularly late in the evening already but Darren was emotionally exhausted. She had known that there was going to be some serious angst coming up between her character and her character’s girlfriend. Acting opposite Chris was always a great thing but even through all of Chris’ jokes and attempts to get her to smile, Darren still felt emotionally drained.

Her friends often teased her about being too emotionally attached to her Blaine but she couldn’t help it. Blaine was her big break. Blaine was the reason that Darren was one of the most loved characters on Glee and there wasn’t anything that Darren would do to give it up. Even if it meant sobbing her heart out while showering.

After her shower, Darren wrapped a towel around her hair and another around her body and headed back out into the main area of her trailer. She almost jumped a foot in the air when she saw Chris sitting there on her bed, her legs stretched out in front of her, ankles crossed.
