I started reading it and this part kills me and is quite familiar to us tumblrinas

reminder that Tumblr recently had its TOS updated to disallow users from sharing private messages without the consent of all parties involved, specifically because one of Mullenweg's employees leaked private messages in which he threatened to sue them. he claimed it was doxxing, when nothing of the sort occurred

and with respect to the WP Engine case, he's been attempting to bully a company that has been using his OPEN SOURCE software into paying his company millions of dollars, just because they're successful (if he gets away with it, it could cause irreparable harm to the open source world). and in the process has made similarly petty changes to WordPress's legal documents and has defamed WP Engine at every possible turn

additionally, he has been forcing Automattic employees who wish to use Blind (an anonymous platform for talking about businesses and employers) to go through him personally when verifying their work accounts there, so he knows who's talking about him

this is a man every bit as petty and self-serving with his companies as Elon Musk, just without the desperate need to be the centre of attention (because if someone online says they'd like to see him die in a car hammer explosion, he has a frail enough emotional constitution to interpret that as a serious threat)

This is the most satisfying story I've read in a long time

Honestly bizarre that tomatoes get all the flack for “not being a vegetable” because they're technically a fruit when:

A) There are a ton of fruits that get categorised as vegetables. Like this also applies to pumpkins, squashes and cucumbers.

B) The fucking mushrooms are standing there at the back of the crowd in this witch trial, trying to look inconspicuous because they somehow got into the vegetable club with no fucking controversy despite the fact that they're not even plants.

A tip to make this a good experience for your kids: do it before they write their letters to Santa and teach them that part of cleaning out the closet is thinking about which toys they don't play with anymore and what kind of toys they still enjoy. It can help them figure out what they really want for Christmas instead of getting sucked in by glitzy ads. It also helps you learn how the child's tastes have grown because you can't always rely solely on their Christmas list
