I’ve never really been a Sandman fan - I read the previous run, which I was very up and down on, until the last two volumes which were brilliant; Sandman: Overture is pretty much more of the same. The art is beautiful, I don’t know that I’ve seen much like it, but the writing is self indulgent to the point of being overly obtuse. If you loved the original run you’ll like this. That’s pretty much all I’ve got.
