Taskmaster, season 14 episode 3: Dafty in the Middle

E is for egg. --- Like ducks, eggs show up in taskmaster all the time. There was so many moments I could have picked but I decided on a moment with Mawaan Rizwan from series 10. In this task, they had to try and get an egg into a frying pan. It sounds simple but its never that straight forward with taskmaster. Mawaan tried to fill an egg with helium hoping it would float over like the house in pixars up. For day 4 I have drawn Judi Love being confused when finding ducks. Ducks have featured lots of times in taskmaster but this is one duck moment I just love. What is your favourite duck moment.

TASKMASTER EXTENDED + OUTTAKES (2/?)

one of my favorite things on taskmaster is when one of the contestants go "well, i can't just do [x]. that would be stupid" and then it immediately cuts to another contestant doing that. "i can't just chuck it, that would never work!" well taskman mcdumbass over here is tossing that bitch immediately. it sadly plonks to the ground, completely ineffectual. what did you think would happen. amazing. high art

I read this in Greg Davies's voice

there were two brothers (the dudes who made 'what does the fox say?') on series one of kongen befaler*/taskmaster norway, and the back and forth of each brother saying 'i know my brother would do [x], which is [smart/stupid] so i'm purposely doing the opposite' is incredible. peak sibling energy, peak taskmaster energy, 10/10 would recommend

*kongen befaler literally translates to 'the king commands,' aka the game 'simon says' the english subtitles aren't always direct translations from norwegian, so some of the studio banter and specifics/loopholes of the tasks might not be clear, but there's like a universal language of person seeing ridiculous task and finding ridiculous ways to master them

I was worried about how TaskMaster, a game show famous for its physical and timed challenges, would adapt to having a contestant with Cerebral Paley

Would Rosie get extra time? Would the challenges be adapted for only her? Would it be patronising?

Absolute mad props for episode 1 having a challenge be "throw these balls at these cans, closest to knocking over 100 cans wins"

Gold star, bafta nomination editing for showing Rosie absolutely sucking at the task, knocking 47 cans over, immediately followed by the other 4 contestants doing equally poorly or accidentally getting themselves disqualified because actually that's a hard task for most people

we don’t talk enough about taskmaster being on youtube for free. i don’t mean someone uploaded the episodes to youtube i mean The Official Taskmaster Youtube has every single episode on their channel, in their entirety, For Free. they want their show to be internationally available for everyone to watch. every episode goes up the day after it airs in the uk. you can just go watch the entire show legally. for free. on youtube. go do that!!

All you people on here really seem to like game changer. Here's another thing like that.

Taskmaster is the same sort of thing, but instead of on the set of a game show, taskmaster is on the set of a whatever they could get that year and also a golf course house. There's canal boats, heathrow airport, a big building with a conveyor belt, you know.

There's two very tall men, greg davies and alex horne, and they have a sort of evil king/incompotent henchman thing going on. I don't know why, that's just what they do. They give people stupid tasks to see what happens. It's been around a while, there's like 8 or 9 seasons. I'd highly reccomend giving it a shot if you like watching comedians you've never heard of have crises of faith building bridges out of mashed potato.

Anyway did i mention it's free? It's free. Go watch it.

I can only see full episodes there from season 17. Everything else is only highlight clips and outtakes. Is this something I need a VPN for? 🤔
