That dreamy scene in Men where Harper is befuddled by all those dandelion puffs and the Green Man is reaching his hand into the mail slot and she DECIDES to reach out and take his hand in hers, offering him a chance to be equals only for him to grab her arm in some show of dominance or control and her waiting until he shows that violence to really stab him through? Amazing. God so fucking beautiful and important to me.

Her showing a willingness to embrace him and him FUCKING IT UP and then being mad that she retaliated??? Fuck! The way that scene AND his wounds paralleled James’s behavior/death wounds? God dammit I love this movie so much.

Steve confronting Natasha at the hospital was one of my favorite scenes, tbh. When people talk about the difference between sexualized intimidation and fights where both parties just happen to be m/f, this is what I point to. Yes, it’s not cool for Steve to shove someone into a empty room. (He’s absolutely treating her like a hostile.) But once they’re there, he keeps the intensity focused in his questioning - there’s no detour where he looks at her body, no moment where he implies he’s going to use his strength against her in a sexualized way. You could just as easily imagine that conversation happening with Rumlow.
