This is not democracy. Officials don’t care about people’s opinion. But we won’t give up!

It’s significant to note that they included the superdelegate count in the published results from the get-go, giving Clinton the appearance of being much more popular than Sanders and making it look like it was impossible for him to come back from it despite there being, at that point, only a few primaries having occurred.

It’s also significant to note that several newspapers have reported Clinton wins and found something else to say about states where Sanders won, even when he won two states to her one.

It’s also significant to note that CNN aired a video of Donald Trump’s empty podium while Bernie Sanders was giving a speech elsewhere.

They are fucking tricksy bastards. Let’s overcome that.

Out of the 22 people running for president in 2016, only two of them are women. Elle U.K. is confronting this imbalance directly through the magazine’s #MoreWomen campaign, launched on Oct. 1 to celebrate women’s global power. Their eye-opening launch video shows how easy it is to make full rooms seemingly sparse.

There are differences among us. You’ve heard some of those tonight. […] But the differences among us pale compared to what’s happening on the Republican side. And if you listen to what they say…they are putting forth alarming plans. I mean, all of us support funding Planned Parenthood. All of us believe climate change is real. All of us want equal pay for equal work. [The Republicans] don’t believe in any of that.

Rachel Maddow: “Houston is now the largest city in the country that has no anti-discrimination ordinance because voters there, by more than a 20-point margin, just rescinded it. You can get fired for your boss thinking that you’re gay. You can get thrown out of your house if you are transgender. That’s law now in Houston. And Houston is in Texas, but Houston is a blue dot in Texas, and they’ve got a lesbian mayor and there’s a lot of progressive things about that city. If the progressive movement, and Democrats who support that kind of thing, can’t build and hold that kind of a basic civil rights protection in a city like Houston, is there something wrong? Why did that vote go so badly, because it wasn’t even close.”

Clinton: “This ordinance is similar to ordinances across America, including in other cities in Texas. But what the far right did, very successfully, is to really engender a lot of fear and a lot of anxiety and create this backlash against this ordinance. And they used the bathroom issue. And yet you could go to another city in Texas, like San Antonio, and you would know that that was totally without merit, that there was no basis for it. I think this is a reminder that if you stand for equal rights, if you stand against discrimination, you don’t just do it once and you’re done. You gotta keep fighting for it and you gotta keep standing up for it, and you gotta keep moving forward with it.”

i honestly get 100% that hilary clinton is far from perfect and she’s white libfem fav and all but currently, with the 2k16 election in the horizon and the possibility of having a republican president AND a republican congress you all just need to step back and reassess why having her as president would be better than having a repub who doesn’t even remotely care about poor people, brown people, black people, college students, women, government benefits, health care, etc. etc. you all know where I’m going with this

because this bandwagon thing is going to deter people from voting or get people who could have voted Dem to vote independent

like when i see these “hilary clinton is an imperialist and i rather wouldn’t vote than vote for her” posts with tens of thousands of notes I see tens of thousands of nods to the GOP and that’s terrifying

Secretary of State Clinton showed up to answer tough and sometimes ridiculous questions regarding the deadly September 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. In the process, she offered a tutorial for today’s young women.Key points:1) When a man asks you a question and then refuses to look at you as you answer, just keep going. Don’t let his rudeness silence you.2) When he interrupts you, return the favor.3) When he says things you know are not true, correct him. Repeatedly.4) When he attempts to bully you, mow him down with facts.5) And whenever possible, smile. Nothing rattles an angry man like a woman who looks happy to annoy him.

That last one. It really throws men off when you do that.
