More zoo photos! It was raining the day we went, but the baby elephant was having the best time splashing around in the pool. I don't feel like my photos adequately captured the amount of adorable that was happening there. Also, have this squirrel photo that didn't fit in the other post.
Birds round two! And a very cold squirrel. The cardinals and blue jays have turf wars around here all the time, so if I see them together it's usually one group chasing the other out. Still haven't gotten any good photos of the blue jays yet since they tend to hang back in the trees more than the other birds.
Rashied: Aw, it's a squirrel! He's eating a chicken wing.
Me, looking down at the ground: ...I don't think that's chicken.
This was right after we saw a squirrel laying on the ground with its arms and legs splayed out like it was frying to death. Yes, it's so hot the squirrels are dying. And then eating each other. Conclusion: It is Too Goddamn Hot.
I've been teaching myself Illustrator in my spare time, and since I was recently asked to draw a small Cardinals banner for work I figured I'd go ahead and do the rally squirrel and a cardinal for practice (you do not want to know how long this took me). Not really a sports person, but that squirrel was pretty damn cute. GO RALLY SQUIRREL.
