Meant to kept posting these earlier, but my sleep schedule is balls right now, SO. Here are some photos from stuff in the Tiergarten, one of the biggest parks in Germany (it’s HUGE). The first couple photos are from the Victory Column in the middle of the park, and then the next couple are from the Bismarck Memorial. I don’t know if the thing in the last photo has a name, but it’s pretty!
At the Designpanoptikum museum in Berlin. It's a surreal art museum featuring old medic stuff and other found or donated objects. Pretty awesome.
My aunt brought a giant basket of Play-Doh for Easter so we could all make stuff. I made this bird that my mom showed me how to make when I was a kid (she doesn't remember, but she totally did) and a tiger because of course I had to make a tiger. My grandparents kept both of them, haha. My mom made the roses.
Earthshine Featuring the Six-Legged Wolf
As part of her current exhibition titled Earthshine at Gallery Wendi Norris, Japanese artist Tomoko Konoike explores various crystal structures in sculptures and drawings.
Among one of her most stunning works is the amazing six-legged wolf wrapped in mirror shards titled Donning Animal Skins and Braided Grass. The wolf is now extinct in the artist’s native Japan, but is figured prominently as a spiritual symbol in much of her art. The exhibition runs through October 26, 2013.
Totally want to see this in person, wow.
