Some things I made today, the roses for my mom and the perler beads for trades. My backyard basically came pre-landscaped (which I’m STILL amazed at, whaaaat), so the flowers came from the rose bush out there.
Some nonsense for @ratchet-witch because she’s having a rough time with health issues and shit, which is lame. BUT OUR BATS ARE COOL. Mine is the dumb spaz one.
So after not touching this for over a year, I started working on it again by changing the bat at the bottom to match my friend’s current one, haha. And then I’m gonna add Jolyn’s bat in the water as the final piece before I finish coloring. Mostly just posting this as a reminder to keep working on it and actually finish it (along with the handful of other things sitting at near completion that I haven’t touched for similar lengths of time).
Edit: here’s a direct link since tumblr is doing its weird resizing thing again >:(
Nananananananana bat naaaail. This idea seemed better in theory, like before I realized how dark that oxblood polish is and how not black the bat glitter is. Under most lighting it looks like I have lumpy fingernails, haha. Next time I'll just use white. Polishes are ORLY's "Liquid Vinyl," Zoya's "Norra," and Sinful Colors' "Got a Bat Attitude."
I meant to get these guys up before Halloween and failed, but I though I’d go ahead and post these cute glow in the dark skeleton designs anyway! I actually drew out four different animals, but as it turns out, bird bones are really hard to work into a readable design with Perler beads, so… for now I have cats and bats! These are for sale in my Etsy shop, and you can choose different bead colors if you like (though they all glow green).
Just a heads up that these are still available here if you need some fun magnets for Halloween 2016! https://www.etsy.com/shop/kittendrumstick?ref=hdr_shop_menu
I may be adding a few more glow in the dark skeleton animals (including the ones listed above) if I can get them to look right. The tricky part is shrinking the designs down enough to be magnet sized without losing too much detail.
Random sketch of @gingerpepp‘s gummibat character, Sweetie*Pop. She never got to see it, but I’m sure she would have loved it. I’m going to try and include her in that huge piece I was doing with everyone’s bat characters a year ago but never finished.
My galaxy bat from @beezeeart‘s Kickstarter! I don’t know if pictures can really do justice to how adorable they are in person, but I absolutely adore mine (who still doesn’t have a name... I’m gonna think of a good one, though). It’s sitting on top of my monitor now, haha. The stickers, postcards, and buttons are super cute, too!
If you haven’t seen BeeZeeArt’s other super cute and hand-made plush (including other galaxy animals if that’s your bag), you should! They’re all great.
Some more bats I got from Magpie’s Masquerie on Etsy for @gingerpepp and another friend of ours hanging out with my cupcake bat (the pink and cream one @ratchet-witch got for me) before I shipped them off. They were too cute not to get pictures of them all together! I love these little bats so much, and so does everyone who sees them, really.
Some photos I meant to post here but forgot about due to being busy. Went to Dresser Island yesterday (better photos of that are coming later), got a cactus in a white elephant party at work (I still can’t pull off that damn flower that’s glued onto it), and another cupcake bat, though this one’s mine! My friend got me one in return for getting her one, haha.
This bat's exclamation is the verbal embodiment of the horrors of being embroidered on a dish towel. Sorry my kitchen is a disgusting trash pit, li'l dude.
Here are some photos of something I bought from Etsy instead of something I’m selling this time, haha. I got this here as a gift for @ratchet-witch and it’s SO CUTE, I want one in every color. The seller even has fruit, fall, and Christmas-themed bats in addition to these guys.

WIP of something I’ve been slowly chipping away at since, like, August. I miss the times when stuff like this could have taken me just days instead of months... until I remember the only reason I had that much free time was because I was chronically unemployed, ahaha. Oh well.
Here’s a less craptastic version since Tumblr can’t handle the size of this image, apparently!
A thing I'm working on of my friends' bat creatures. They all have candy colored stripes and markings and stuff and glow in the dark, so this is basically going to be a ridiculous glowing Lisa Frank rainbow mess when it's done in a million years from now, haha.
Edit: here’s the link to the full size image since Tumblr is being a butt about this. I figured that might happen.
Soooo I commissioned bleaksadrave for some tiger art awhile back and got it in the mail this weekend! Rainbow tiger! So awesome! And she also sent me this fabulous SilverTiger drawing which she totally didn't even have to do. AND she sent me some sketches and this line art of Trickii, which I colored (even though I kind of screwed up her tail by accident, it should have yellow stripes on it, haha). My scanner really hates bright pinks and yellows and waaaay overdid them, but this is probably as close as I can get it to what it actually looks like. I love doing collabs and stuff, though! They're way too much fun.
I was gonna add more to this, but I think I'm kind of done with it now. Illustrator gets real tedious after awhile.
