thank you for letting me know ! i just reposted it. i feel like a troglodyte coming back to the heavily updated tumblr after so long LOL.

hihello !

firstly, i want to immediately dive in and say please forgive my sudden absence ! for those who may not be aware, i recently deactivated my instagram for reasons ill explain in the next paragraph, but i wanted to take the time and write out a general overview on the current situation of this blog and why i havent been regularly posting many pictures.

about two to three months ago, i went awol in an effort to sustain my mental health from being on social media since its been filling my brain up with horrific energy, making me become less productive overtime. all of this aside though, im generally not as interested in this project as much as i used to be; i havent been actively carrying my camera around for the past year and a half considering ive taken up other hobbies, and my job has turned me into a depressed entity so ive been unable to utilize my hours into anything creative.

theres a lot more i dare mention for health reasons as well as the benefit of others, but essentially to chalk it out, life has been something of an absolute nightmare lately. nonetheless im considering seeking proper help and recharging that self-belief that i lost long ago, and i have a hunch that coronavirus was one of the determining factors of my current situation.

all of this being said, kitchendisease will remain shut down indefinitely, but HAVE NO FEAR!! im absolutely not planning on removing any of what i have captured over the course of practically over a decade. my tumblr and flickr account will stay up eternally; i have a large amount of pride for what ive done in the very beginning when i was only 13 years old, and reminiscing through everything ive captured is always evocative and heartwarming, and id expect the same feelings of happiness for those who have followed me for years and the ones who have recently discovered my work.

at the moment im not in the right space to continue this blogs efforts, but perhaps someday there will be a spark of inspiration for me to start dragging my cams, and you’ll certainly know it if i start dumping a plethora of weird and wonderful pictures here once more !

in any event i apologize if this is rather dramatic and lengthy ! but i wish warmth to you all and hope you’ll understand 🌹
