so coincidentally around the same time i got hit over the head with the bttf hyperfixation, one of my favorite bands released their new album! (beyond beyond beyond by the crane wives i love yooou. please guys please check out the crane wives they're soooo good shaking everyone by the shoulders. this is coming from a guy who is very picky with music too i gotta spread the word like some sort of indie folk missionary. but anyways.) and within that album is a little song called black hole fantasy! (it's not little actually it's 6 minutes long. LMAO) think i almost cried listening to it for the first time

the second time however. the bttf interest was in full swing. and yknow that's when it's like how can i make this song about my blorbos. and sometimes it's like the farthest reach ever or based only on the vibes but seriously. black hole fantasy fits sooo well with doc in the period of time between marty leaving 1955 and meeting him again in the present day. won't go into it so if you so choose you can experience the song unadulterated but it fits so well!!! every time i listen to it i'm imagining how i'd make an animatic out of it. won't ever have the energy to do it. but im thinking really hard

moving on! time will change you from the same album is such a marty song, especially for after the trilogy is done and he has to adjust to the new timeline. it's about the passage of time it was kind of meant to be i think. if you take a listen you will see the vision trust me. higher ground (same album again) is also a marty song to me, except i was just thinking about him while listening to it so it probably doesn't fit as well as the other two. one of those reach songs yknow except i think im on to something so it's like only half a reach

hmmm this is hard. bc there's like so many things i'd like to see! life-threatening adventure stuff, everyday slice of life stuff.... probably something post-canon tho. i think it would be cute to just have doc and marty visit different time periods and get into trouble! so like. sort of the cartoon but if it was actually good.

🎵if you have listened to the musical soundtrack, which song is your favorite and why?

ive really only listened to it front to back once so far (soon to change) and it takes a couple listens for songs to jump out at me when it comes to these things (ex: i used to get stuck looping candy store from heathers until i realized actually the whole entire musical is also a bop haha) but wherever we're going is like. the cutest song ever. the opening number is also pretty catchy, i remember getting jumpscared by the actual theme song as a motif in there! and hello, is anybody home is also really good. bro is going through it </3. honestly might just make a whole separate post to yap about the musical

i do a decent amount of jenniferposting and i love how like. cartoony she is, especially in the second one. but also she was barely there so there's not as firm a grasp on her character? but i love her anyways haha.

clara's also really cute she's so ourple. but then there's also seamus and his thing with hats.... and also 1955 george and lorraine..... i definitely like some of these more than the others but i could not tell you which ones they were so consider this a five way tie if they're also duking it out at the finish line

🕰️ not one for inserting myself into things, but the 1955 vibes go kind of hard, so maybe there. sure i'll witness this weirdass kid actively reject the advances of this cute girl who's totally into him in favor of hanging with that weird kid in the corner and then stick it to the biggest bully in school and then do. something?? on stage at the dance and then immediately dip never to be seen again. the gossip would be crazy

👀 marty gets cold super easily, which is why he's always wearing ten thousand layers. (seriously, i tried the vest + jacket combo and it was so hot i had to take it off within the minute. the vest wasn't even puffy and i didn't even have the second shirt on underneath.) his favorite season is summer bc 1. no school!! 2. his birthday's in there and 3. warm..... (he is still wearing at least two shirts at any given point though. bro would've been freezing in bttf2 if not for Everything Happening at the moment)

🧒 i am poncho marty's biggest fan. runner ups are the classic puffer vest, that navy and orange shirt he wears in 1955 (especially with the coat in part 3), and that stupid transgender cowboy fit

👨‍🔬 a lot harder to determine than marty's for some reason.... the silver robe/pink shirt from 1955 i think. but the train shirt, gold/red future fit, and the trenchcoat from part 3 are close

POV: you roll up to your boyfriend's house to take that sweet new truck of his up to the lake on a trip you've been planning for a while but then his old scientist friend shows up out of nowhere in a delorean and the strangest fit ever and tells you two to get in and then the thing starts flying(??) and travels 30 years into the future(???) where supposedly your boyfriend and you are married now(??) and then you black out and wake up in your house but it's definitely not YOUR house and you can't leave because there's no HANDLES on the FREAKING DOORS and then you get greeted by your future son(???) (who looks exactly like your boyfriend by the way) (and so does your daughter?) (where the fuck did your genes go??? are his just that strong?? did we clone him???) (also you have a daughter by the way) and learn that your boyfriend (husband?) gets into this terrible accident that causes him to give up his lifelong passion and then you witness him commit fraud and get fired via two dozen fax machines and then when you finally get to escape you immediately run into yourself 30 years older(??????) and it's so shocking that you black out AGAIN and when your boyfriend wakes you up he's dressed like a cowboy for some reason(??) and then you almost get into that accident you learned about earlier but it's fine because your boyfriend received some character growth along with that odd cowboy fit of his apparently and he takes you to the train tracks to show you the wreckage of the flying delorean you got into earlier (and yes, it WAS a time machine and all of that was DEFINITELY REAL and NOT A DREAM) and now the weird cowboy fit makes a lot more sense, and then all of a sudden there's a flying train now too(??) and your boyfriend's old scientist friend pops out with an entire new family(???) and when you ask him about the fax you nicked from the future because like, he's the one who made the damn machine surely he has answers, he ends up telling you a really inspirational piece of advice, actually, and then his flying time machine train takes off in the blink of an eye and THEN suddenly your boyfriend has the worst adrenaline crash anyone has ever experienced ever and now you're standing in an empty railroad among the wreckage of a car-turned-time-machine with your boyfriend in your arms and absolutely no clue what decisions you made in your life could have possibly led up to this. your name is jennifer parker and you have just experienced the weirdest, most absurd hour of consciousness in your entire life.
