#kirby#daily kirby#my art#digital#hal laboratory#nintendo#disability pride#disability#my partner is borrowing my cane while they’re recovering from surgery#(nothing was done to their legs or anything - recovery is just exhausting!)#(and I mostly use my wheelchair these days so they’re not ‘taking’ anything from me)#and I figured it was a good time to remind people#that mobility aids are normal and good!#whether you need them once in a blue moon or all the time or anywhere in between#supporting your body is good.#(I only use my wheelchair when I’m leaving my apartment; I just walk at home.)#(this makes me an ambulatory wheelchair user - but just because I can walk to my kitchen doesn’t mean I can walk through the mall!)#(and my wheelchair is fancy - it has both manual wheels and a joystick-controlled motor system.)#(sometimes I can manually wheel and other times I use the motor.)#(it lets me adjust my energy output to the energy I actually have available.)#(also exciting news I’m fiiiiiiiinally getting the extra battery I ordered at the same time as the chair)#(10 months later.)#(but still! that means I can safely travel much further on my own without the risk of stranding or exhausting myself.)
