haven't drawn him happy in so long...
Little sketch commission of the lovely Thalia Trevelyan!! I don't get to draw Trevelyans often, this was a pleasure 😄 The commissioner asked if I could design a new elegant sort of outfit for her and I said ABSOLUTELY 👏
Tilda Cadash for @rosella-writes
I was so fascinated by her connection to the Stone, I wanted to draw her underground using it to help her navigate with her blindness. Wonder what it would be like to return in The Descent after so long aboveground with the Inquisition?
Soooo Swan couldn't bear to have his vallaslin anymore
The Dawn Will Come
Since Dragon Age has been on the brain with all the upcoming releases (!!!), I thought I'd share this comic again. I made it while I was playing Inquisition, but it really hits different after playing Trespasser... 🙃 The sentiment for Swan (my Lavellan) still stands, albeit pretty tragically. There is so much erasure of history for the elves, both by humans and by horrors lost to time, and I think it is the thing he fears the very most about his own legacy.
Commission for @wanderingnork of their Adaar Kubide with Solas! This was so fun to do, I absolutely love drawing dragon age romance commissions 😭💕
As per request, here is the footage of me slowly losing it as I figure everything out about Solas before I had any idea how right I was. Please enjoy, lol (ft. @magehearted @nirnrootnoises and @jenipedia laughing at me in the background)
YALL
LOOK what I just found in my Dragon Age folder I'm crying
I didn't post this when I originally made it (in the middle of my DAI playthrough when I had NO idea I had called it so hard) because my friends were all "nahhhh you should wait til you finish the game you don't wanna look dumb..."
Speaking of Dragon Age... TBT to the Sleepy Swan series 🥺 I miss when he was this happy...
A lot of people have been wanting Solavellan art from me for a while lol... Enjoy 💔 This is @jenipedia's Lavellan.
For the longest time I thought Swan would have a weird relationship with Solas because he would feel like Solas *must* know how to take the mark off of his hand... Turns out I was right 🙃 Still don't know how Swan would actually feel about him (and I don't think he would know either).
'The ancient and the modern co-exist in the highlands of Emprise du Lion, where relics of the lost elven nation are scattered among bustling human villages...'
Swan loved Emprise, as sad as it made him.
I don't want it anymore.

Swan is... broken. Everything that was him has been taken from him in one fell swoop; his faith, his friends, even his role as an archer, with the loss of his hand.
He dissolved the Inquisition and went home, but it doesn't feel like home anymore.
started trespasser.
swan, who loved the gods with all his heart, so much that he tattooed symbols of them on his back... he is not doing well.
>>Swan Song<< A playlist for Swan Lavellan
-
The promised playlist! I've been compiling this throughout my playthrough. It's full of songs that remind of Swan, that I can see him dancing to with his clan, that he might hum to himself around Skyhold. Lots of bright, happy Celtic music for adventuring to.
The last three songs are "bad end" songs, since as of yet I still don't know what could happen.
Enjoy 💛
I realized that since it's been a year since I started Inquisition, a lot of my followers might not know much about Swan, so I thought I'd make a little compilation and talk about him a bit 💛
Swan Lavellan is just a simple Dalish elf and would very much have liked his life to remain as it was, wild and free with his clan. He is an archer and a hunter. He goes by Swan to people who don't speak elven because he fletches his arrows with swan feathers; his elven name is Samahlas ("giving laughter").
He is happy by nature and has a soft heart, is a little lacking in common sense but earnest and loves his friends very much.
He has a deep reverence for nature and the elven gods; his back tattoo has elements of all of them, including Fen'Harel. His vallaslin is of Sylaise because he loves her Vir Atish'an. He tries to follow it along with the Vir Tanadhal of clan hunters. He often keeps flowers or leaves somewhere on his person to remind himself and others of where his heart belongs.
He is terrified of being Inquisitor.
He hates being called "your worship" and "Lord Lavellan." He is horrified of the thought of being made into a religious figure for the Chantry which destroyed his ancestors' home and still hurts his people daily. However, his strong desire to help people keeps him moving forward, but he hopes that soon this will be over and he can go back to anonymity in the Free Marches, living with his clan.
Because of this, he has a relationship with Dorian, but he's worried that it can't work out. He would never want to go to Tevinter, and he knows Dorian wouldn't handle his clan's ways well either. Still, he loves Dorian very much and doesn't want the relationship to end.
He likes most of his companions. He gets along best with Cole, finding that he understands Swan better than anybody else. He also likes Sera and Solas, though he's sad that they don't share his love of his culture. He loves to hear Solas' stories though, and will pester him for them whenever he gets the chance.
He plays the bodhran drum and the whistle and loves poetry and tongue-twisters and dancing, but he's not very good at that last one.
He's afraid of dying, but he'd be willing if it meant peace for others.
Here's his tag for lots more art and lore bits. He also has a playlist on the way shortly 💛
My inbox is also open if anybody has questions about him!
SO I'm finally going to finish Inquisition after procrastinating it for almost a whole year...
I keep thinking about Swan growing old happy but I don't KNOW if that will happen because I don't know how the game ends... No spoilers please, but I'm scared 😭
So @magehearted is really on my wavelength and asked for their Lavellan, Nomikh, in full elven glam~
