it's okay to not be okay. it's okay to take a day for yourself. it's okay to tell people "i need to be loved a little louder today". it's okay to treat yourself. it's okay to not feel yourself. it's okay to not be 100% all of the time. whatever you need or feel, it's okay. you're gonna be okay.

- Just because you had one setback doesn’t mean your efforts are ruined. Recovery is not linear. Today is a new day.

- Remember: you’re amazing for even attempting recovery, no matter how difficult it might be.

A tiny sunday reminder:
✨ No matter how little or how much you did today, the feeling of tiredness is completely valid. You can be tired, even if you feel like you have not accomplished anything or gotten everything done that was on your to-do list for the day.
✨That is okay. You can do the rest of the things tomorrow, or the day after that.
✨You don’t earn sleep and rest by overworking yourself, sleep and rest is needed EVERY single day! No matter what! Sleep is not something you earn, it is something that your body needs in order to function!
✨It doesn’t matter whether you spent the entire day lying on the couch while binging Netflix or spent the entire day at work/school, being busy. Sleep is always needed.
💫Allow your body and mind to rest, and try to be gentle with yourself. You deserve kindness and you deserve to be treated gently. Both by others and by yourself💫

Reminder: Your dreams are not stupid or too far fetched. You can actually do things. You are smart. People have done wilder things.
Your progress does not define you. If you relapse or backslide, that is not an indication of your worth. You are still doing your best and you still deserve care. You are not a failure and healing is not linear.

it’s ok if you’re scared. or tired. or unsure. or one million billion other complicated emotions at once. but i’ve decided things are going to be ok anyway. and i will hold that belief close to my heart no matter how scared or tired or lonely or depressed or one million billion other things i am. i will hold onto that. and if you’re scared, you can hold onto me. we can carry each other through
one thing at a time. one chore, one assignment, one task, one day. one at a time and go from there. breathe. you can do this- this one thing.
This is temporary. You have not stagnated. You are not a failure. You will heal, you will recover, you will have a beautiful life. It is waiting for you.
you’re going to love again, find a job again, create art again, do what you love again, feel powerful again. you’re going to be back on track. i don’t know when, but you are going to feel like yourself again, eventually. this isn’t the end. hang in there.
