History Has Its Eyes On You, Bilibin-esque
“My dearest friend,
it has been too long since we last spoke. But alas, the times do not provide good opportunities for friendly conversation. I hope, however, that you and I, and the whole former company, shall meet again one day.
It is funny that you ask of letters from our late Warden. I never knew she left you one as well. I say “as well”, since days before we marched for Denerim, Nathyara spent two days writing in her chambers. From whatI know, she had left behind almost fifty letters, addressed to varous people in Ferelden and beyond her limits.
For most, she left words of love, encouragement, various advice. For others, she left instructions and information. I would not know what she wanted to say to you before the final stand, but I’d imagine it would be important. Do not hesitate to open it.
Your friend and comrade,
Leliana.”
From Royal Archive of Ferelden, attributed to an Orlesian bard Leliana who, for the longest time, exchanged letters with King Alistair I Peaceful.
