I am a diaspora Palestinian communist, age 29. please don’t follow if you’re under 18. The current focus of this blog is boosting fundraising campaigns for Ghazzawi Palestinians put in contact with me by mutual aid organizers I know and trust. i block terfs and reactionaries on sight 🖤

It seems Tumblr is continuing with their mass deactivation of Palestinian blogs. This time they've gone after @nourfamily1989, a mother with five young children in Gaza. Please continue sharing and supporting her fundraiser while she tries to get her account back.

i'm in regular contact with nour and i want to highlight the following: 1) her youngest daughter ghazal, who is only two years old, has developed a speech impediment from the trauma of this situation, and her 13 year-old son muhammad has developed an autoimmune issue from lack of sanitation, constant insect bites and exposure to unclean water, recurring illness, etc. 2) my friends recently sent money to help nour buy winter clothes for her children, the prices of which will knock out a lot of what she received due to high demand and low supply. the costs of food, medical treatment, etc. are still very high. 3) many of nour's extended family members benefit from these funds as well. these are people who were already poor before the war, and now they can't work. all they can do is find internet hotspots and ask for help. that's where we come in. if reading this distresses you, and if you're mad about tumblr deleting palestinians' accounts, the good news is that you're not helpless: even tiny donations make a difference.

the situation in Gaza is so bad. i dont know what to keep writing to explain how catastrophic the situation is in order to make people care. i feel if like by now they dont, anything i wirte is useless. if even now they refuse to donate, nothing will make them do it.

no clean water, food or shelter. no access to medical care. and aside from that, airstrikes are still taking place. this is a recording someone took of a missile that fell in the camps where Eyad and his family are living. their tent was destroyed. every day the situation is getting worse and worse. Please donate to his gofundme.

(Check out the original poll by mumblesplash with their lovely art here)

This poll got a couple hundred thousand votes last week! We're hoping it can boost reach for my friend Dina @zinaanqar and her family in Gaza who are in need of help. Prices for everything are extremely high, they're struggle to just afford food. Please consider donating to help these kids!

a lot of people right now sound like "the next four years are going to be horrible for us. women, immigrants, bipoc are all at risk. we are going to be living under a fascist dictator and be prepared for the upcoming fight" and then they start with Step 1: stirring up hatred against muslims and arabs and Step 2: gloating about how we're going to kill even more of them than the US already has over the past 20 years and then Step 3: starting an anti-fascist reading group on bluesky

Nader, age 17, can’t go to school right now because he has to survive a genocide instead. He's running this campaign for himself and his brother Abd Al Salam and the rest of their family. Can you donate $10 to help him, or share his campaign? He's #4 on the gazavetters list.

I am salah from Gaza. I have two children, Youssef, 12 years old, and Nour, 7 years old. Because of the fierce war, we lost everything we owned, I’m lost everything made... and my children lost every beautiful thing in his life. We were displaced to the south of the Gaza Strip several times. We endured a lot of meager and contaminated food and drink, and we were exposed to close-up death in all its forms... and we survived it miraculously. I feel pain as I write to you...as I had to start this castle to save myself and my family from this humanitarian disaster... Save my family... I will post some pictures of my children and my home for you.

You may have heard of Nader: he is a 17 year-old running a tumblr account for the campaign of his brother, Abd Al-Salam. Their shared account is @abdalsalam1990. It’s horrible that anyone is going through this, but for someone so young to have to help support his family through genocide—that just breaks my heart. So when Nader asked me to adopt his family’s campaign, I couldn’t say no.

Like with other palestinian GFM campaigns, this money is used by a large extended family to buy basic necessities. It may seem like the campaign has received a lot, and it has, but for a big family under siege, “a lot” of money doesn’t last very long. Can you help support this young man and his family with a donation or a reblog? Anything helps. His family’s campaign is #4 on the GazaVetters spreadsheet.

Community kitchens in Gaza are great and we should support them, but how do we put people in touch with them for help? None of the Ghazzawis I’ve talked to have access to anyone consistently (as in, not sporadic aid) giving out food and water for free, let alone other necessities like clothing, hygiene supplies, medicine, or tents. Any guidance on how to direct people to these larger-scale resources would be extremely helpful, especially for people in the north

And if there’s anyone giving out diapers and baby formula in gaza, any info on that would be super helpful too

More specifically, what I’m asking is:

If there are any points of contact whose WhatsApp numbers I could give to families in need so they can get the location of a community kitchen

For general info on which towns have a community kitchen in operation — exact locations are a safety risk of course but I imagine just going to a town and asking around would lead in the right direction

**Today I ate worm-infested and moldy bread.**

Yes, as you read it: worm-infested and moldy.

And I knew it was worm-infested.

And the person who gave it to me knew that I knew it was worm-infested.

Even so, I am one of the lucky ones.

There is no flour in the Gaza Strip.

How long, world, there is no sense or conscience about what we are living in now. We have been living for more than a year. We have no food or drink, and we do not know the meaning of sleep. For more than a year, our children have been living the worst childhood. How long, how long, how long?????

Can't believe I'm saying this but the weather is slowly changing in Gaza again and it rained quite heavily this week. Knowing this while literally 90% of Gaza's population has been displaced, many living in makeshift tents, is a terrifying thought. Since last week's rain, many people are left without a place to stay and their belongings destroyed by the rain.

The cost of tents is between $700 and $800 which is beyond practically everyone in Gaza right now. However, the Sameer Project are crowdfunding and providing these families with tents. You can help out by either donating and/or sharing their initiative with your friends and community members.

I’ve had a few people reach out to me about it but I’m trying to informally collect data: if you know of a Palestinian GFM that’s been shut down without explanation or investigation from the compliance team, please comment here or, if we’re mutuals, send me a message.

**Hello dear friends 🖐

I am Noor from Gaza, a mother of five children (Mohammad, 13 years old; Bahaa, 12 years old; Ameera, 8 years old; Joan, 5 years old; and Ghazal, 2 years old)

We are currently living in a tent. We lost our home, which we had recently rebuilt before the war, costing us more than $35,000. The house was completely destroyed. We are now homeless, and my husband also lost his job due to the war. In this dire situation, with insufficient food and no clean water, my daughters fall ill every week. My daughters, Joan and Ghazal, suffer from severe chest infections and require constant care, nebulizations, and antibiotics, which are unavailable.

I ask you, my friends, to continue supporting my family, filled with hope and the desire for things to be better with your help.

Your donation alleviates the painful moments of war 🤍 and eases the tragic suffering 😥 of the people of Gaza, who have gone through the saddest and most painful experiences ever. Life here has become increasingly harder, both in terms of safety and security and in terms of sources of livelihood. Everything has become a burden on our shoulders. You may wonder how someone in Gaza cannot meet their needs and necessities. The answer is that "the vast majority of people in Gaza have lost all their possessions and belongings in the early days of the war and have become homeless, wandering the so-called safe neighborhoods in central or southern Gaza. Additionally, all breadwinners have become unemployed with no source of income amidst skyrocketing prices of any essential goods necessary to stay safe and alive. It is incredibly harsh and exhausting."

**We urgently appeal for moral and financial assistance to cover the costs needed to escape to a safe environment, where we can build a better future for our children and ensure the safety of our family. 🙏**

**We are in dire need of your support. Any donation, no matter how small, can help save our lives. We thank you for your care and support during these difficult times.**
